This is in a Spanish tavern. I know that in French "Maison" means house, but isn't house in Spanish "Casa"? Maison de les Fleurs/Meson de las Flores is Flower House, but what does Meson mean in Spanish if the word for house is casa?
when i think of meson i think of restaurant. idk if that's its actual definition but that's what comes to mind
>>215367592Omoshiroi. So it denotes a business establishment
I'm thinking it's kinda like how English uses "Chez" for fancy restaurants, unless I'm very wrong cvgez mens "house of" o you have restaurant like Chez Marie and stuff
>>215367542there's also "tavern" ( the same word, no translation ) in Italian and I've seen it used as a place where they serve food
Also, I forgot to mention that "meson" sounds like "big table" (meson is like a big mesa )
The English word "mansion" has its roots in the Latin word "mansio," meaning "place to stay," "place to stay," or "lodging." It comes from the Latin verb "manere," meaning "to remain" or "to stay." Through the Old French word "maison" (house), the term evolved, and by the mid-14th century it had come to mean the lord's main residence, and by the 16th century it had taken on the meaning of "a large and stately house."
>>215367924it does sound like mansion... this makes more sense
>>215367542>what does Meson mean in SpanishI always thought it meant big table and that establishments for drinking and dining in old times had big long tables for multiple people.
