I shared some of this on here not long ago. But I'll add some more.Many of them have had children. A lot of them are broken up or divorced from the partners they had their children with.A girl I'd known since I was maybe five or six tried to kill herself not too long after we finished high school. Two other guys I'd known since I was about twelve or thirteen both killed themselves when we were around our early twenties. That was nearly two decades ago and I still think about them sometimes.Another friend obliterated his leg in an electrical accident. Whatever shredded remains were left had to be surgically removed. That was also a long time ago. That guy has probably gone the better part of two decades with a prosthetic leg now.One guy I briefly became friends with at the end of my teenage years was murdered by his neighbour, alongside his brother at the same time. An ongoing dispute between neighbours that turned really bad.Another guy I knew in high school was a good looking guy, charismatic and popular with the girls. He had a couple of hot girlfriends when we were teenagers. He had a kid or two with the hotter one that he got together with towards the end of high school. I met him again at a job we were both at several years later and she'd left him. Was trying to take what she could from him, keep him from seeing the kids, all the usual female shit. Then I saw him again maybe a couple of months ago; just a random encounter when I was out one day. Now he has a very weathered face, sunken cheeks and eyes, and is missing at least a few teeth that I could see. Poor bastard really got it from life from what I could tell.It doesn't matter where or what you come from, life is hard on pretty much everyone in one way or another.

So we all hung out at school together all the time. When my parents got divorced, my dad's neighbours were multi-millionaires and we became friends with their kids, too. Nobody really batted an eye. Not even the rich people were snobby about it. Probably because we were more polite than the rich kids that usually came through their home.

Last time I saw some friends from school was at my wedding in late 2008.1 was working in the IT division for the department of education and I think was doing tech support for the high school we went to.1 was married and I think going through a separation at the time.The rest of my high school friend group I have no idea. Haven't been able to find any of them on facebook or other social media. This year will be 25 years since graduating from high school and seen no info on a reunion or similar. I expect some of the kids from my graduating year are probably dead, most likely due to drugs, getting into fights that went out of control or doing stupid stuff while driving.Bonus fact: Since getting married we've had 2 kids, lived in the US for 10 years and recently moved back. My youngest is actually going to the same primary school I went to as a kid so its kind of weird being back on the school grounds seeing what is the same and what has changed.
