They also had a Freemason prime minister once, a lot of Anime and video games they produced, especially in the 90s, had plenty of masonic themes. Xenogears for instance literally had Ein Sof as a plot point word for word. I kind of wish there was more research done on masonic connections to Japanese media and politics. There was a massive occult boom in the 80s from what I've read.
