Decided to watch x-files
Might write opinions later

First opinion - I like women in formal clothes

Second opinion - this picture cannot be scientifically explained

Do you binge watch in your country?

So far 30yo episodes are more fun to watch than modern series. Why did burgers forget how to make good shows?

Also Scully just called some dude a vegetable. Wonder if it would be allowed today lol.

Come to think of it - why wasn't Mulder fired? He sits on a government paycheck and doesn't do much of "actual investigating" AND constantly steps on the toes of turboglowies - smallee things get people whacked like in Goodfellas irl (Epstein, boeing witnesses etc)

Oh, just occured to me - there was 0 hispanic, asian and middle eastern/indian characters as of episode 5. Woder if in 5 years all early episodes will have a message that "x-files is racist" considering that it's one of the main plot points in 2nd season of Gunn's Peacemaker.

>>215451963
Eeehhhhh - that's what happened irl. But if somehow mammoths would live past the bronze age and into more or less modern times they would still be hunted to extinction. Even today people in bumfuck nowhere in Yakutia are digging out oth tusks which in large part are sold to chinese on the black market because there are 2 billion of balding manlets with ED who want to snort old furry elephant bones like Carrie Fisher did coke.
>>
>>215452336
thats what poachers do in africa they saw of tusks of the rhinos and elephans leaving them undable to fend for themself just so the chinks can get the placebo effects of a viagra. the who raised traditional chinese medicine to the same standard as scientific medicine a few years ago so every animal with tusks lives on borrowed time

do NOT watch the X-Files reboot
it is embarassing and highly netflix'd kind of cringe, just like how they turned Supernatural in its last seasons

>>215455766
Last season of X-files, I think it was so shit and floppy they didn't even bother to make another new after the reboot attempt and yeah Supernatural went full repetitive and Deviantart edgy mode that was more funny than cool like. They were filmed in the post-Obama Biden era so they had to make everything quirky and LGBTNigger just because.
Shit like Scully saying "oh wow i can't believe it's current year and people are being le homotransphobic" and Castiel who becomes God and the first thing he does as God is killing a priest because he was not accepting enough of fags because God actually loves trans kids or something. Then Lucifer and his kid whole arc seasons being nothing but a telenovela.
Incoherent nonsense wokeshit ruins everything, they ruined enjoyable shows like The Closer with its sequel-spinoff Major Crimes turning it into a teen gay police drama because the director was a faggot and he married an actor from the cast.
Haven't watched a single tv show ever since or been at cinema because it's all slop or soulless remakes, prequels, sequels, 3D versions or same fucking plots all over again.
>>
Kinda funny how they explore the idea of the internet in mid 1990s since nobody knew what that shit was and that a rogue AI would be able to just access random computers even though there probably were no wires connecting them.

>>215456128
I'm really not a fan of burgeroid approach to God, devil, angels and demons as to some DnD mobs and Heaven and Hell being legit physical locations with coordinates. Lessens the idea of all these things to something like the doordash dude who brings Tasty and That's it burgers if you order them on that exact app. Is it protestant things or did they borrow them over from catholics prior to Luther?
>>
>>215449036
The first 3 seasons are nice, the fourth was a bit disappointing(No budget?), and I'm fighting against myself to spare some time to watch the last episodes of the fifth, please tell it's not like Lost.

>>
>>215457201
Supernatural itself is just a fanfic novel, work of fantasy but I liked it more without the usual Abrahamic and muh ancient gods usual card, hunting monsters and solving mysteries like X-Files with demons being just a kind of monster category apart, be it even angels and such. I am not surprised the success, beyond the foids lust for the characters, had also to do with the references to the bible, easiest clichè to play to get some American audience through worship or outrage, just like Japanese cartoons do with the mysterious and exotic Christian cult making everything look "sophisticated". Am not religious but when something is too forced or tryhard to the point it becomes a meme trope then everyone can notice it.
>>
>>215447685
You must watch the "Jose Chung's From Outer Space." episode. That TV series had good photography, but after 2-3 seasons it seems like they are always shooting the same wood pretending it to be distant places, it also suffered from the "monster of the week" effect, and lost momentum after the first movie.
>>
>>215457330
Season 5 has Bad Blood, one of the best episodes. I say it's worth watching. Season 6 has some great episodes too, but season 7 has only five or six good episodes, the rest are mediocre or plainly bad. No episode from later seasons are watching, besides Mulder & Scully Meet the Were-Monster from season 10.
>>
Not really getting the point of the screen since it's a bit too random in it's flickering to be percieved as an eye like the one from space odyssey

This was Fox attempt to make another X-Files alike series, it starts similarly the first seasons, mysteries, cryptids, I <3 SCIENCE experiments, ayy lmaos, unexplained phenomena and a common main plot about the "observers" who are a bunch of bald men that are actually alien invaders, I think it became some capeshit tier snoozefest when the last seasons introduced the multiverse collision and time travel into the future with resistence against the invaders and stuff making it less of a scifi detective genre.
You can give it a shot, usually tv series like that can be still enjoyed as single episodes as those have an independent plot from the main one.
Maybe the closest thing to X-Files and it wasn't that terrible in the early seasons, it was produced between 2008 and 2013.

not really, this one is the closest https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Inexplicable,_yet_a_Fact - more of a pseudodocumentary like ones on youtube where dude goes into some abandoned house and yells for ghosts

UFO craze never happened here - mostly there was cargocultist imitation in the 80s and 90s when any raw sewage was published in newspapers. The Sun - tier sewage. Most of the notable ayys are in the tv program I've mentioned but it's mostly about ghosts or monsters like variations of bigfoot or gnomes who speak backwards
