Reminder this is an ideologically compromised metric because it factors in income equity as a metric independent from cost of living and average and minimum wages.
Meaning a country can be more of a poor shithole for everyone and still score higher than a country which is less of a shithole but also has rich people.
It favors you for being socialist even if being socialist is making everyone poorer and making them all live on thinner margins.

Oh sorry then, I am just tired of people always attacking the US about HDI in similar manner as your posts, if I misinterpreted I really do apologize.
I don't know a better metric though I just wish they would fix HDI. Similar countries would still come out on top, it's just one of the metrics they use.
