>um actually the zutting is a VERY WEAK hadith you know
>>
same as Pakistan is a VERY WEAK country who gets nuked by his own former allies lol

The irony is that it's the most reliable kind of hadith (sahih)
>>
>>215798571
Dumbasses it's a reliable hadith it's about the prophet's words of teaching to backwards stone worshipping savages in the middle of the desert who approached him for education about Islam

SYEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEED
>>
>>215798620
It's not sahih (authentic), quite the opposite, it's a weak hadith nobody really takes seriously.
Basically if it's not in the sahih books of Bukhari and Muslim nobody cares about hadith, at least as far as Sunnis go. Shia have their own separate corpus of hadith.
Hadith itself is a claim that Muhammed said or did something, and whether that claim is to be taken seriously or not depends on isnad, or the chain of transmission from when it happened or was said, to the person narrating that hadith, often centuries later, if the isnad is dubious in any way then the hadith is seen as weak and is discarded.
This isn't like the Quran where ever word is to be taken as the absolute word of God.

The chain of narration is fully authentic. I don't understand why you have a hard time accepting this.

It's just factually not, it has a weak isnad according to both English and Arabic sources I could find.
Feel free to prove me wrong.

That one is authentic yeah. Sahih al-Bukhari is taken seriously bu Sunnoids.

>>215798975
I don't know, maybe for future scholars to debate about their legitimacy and decide what to keep and what to throw away.

the TL;DR is that the two most reliable collections of hadith are sahih bukhari and sahih muslim. there's a branch of islamic studies where people (muhaddith) study these accounts and analyze the chains of narration (isnad) since they were originally transmitted orally and written down a long time after muhammad's death. there's some funny shit in the quran too, like muhammad fast-traveling to jerusalem on a winged creature
>>
>>215799146
still, including it at all signifies scholars traditionally considered it has at least some moral educational value even though we can't say for sure if it is real
that would merely relegate it to the status of a pious folk tale rather than something shameful
it should reignite a serious comparative discussion about ancient vs modern narratives in regards to homoeroticism, but alas we know how likely that is to happen
>>
Why are anons so obsessed about Islam? Seriously I don't give a shit about whatever weird traditions there might be in any other religion yet a thing like that in Islam makes you go nuts

The second component of this story, besides its questionable validity in Islamic tradition, is the whole translation and assumption of what it means, people see the word "ride" in an English context and assume it has the sexual connotation associated, reading the Hadith in Arabic I don't get that impression at all. Nobody uses يركب to mean having sex with. It's explicitly used with the words "felt heavy" and "weighed down" in that hadith.

This religion is so funny, especially the part of moses chasing a rock and gave it a beating .
>>
>>215799930
The way I understand it is.

We were in the desert at night and and Momo drew a circle in the sand and told me not to leave it or you're dead, then a bunch of Jinn showed up that looked dark like the Zutt people, no clothes on but I couldn't see their private parts (further suggesting they're not human), Momo spends the night reciting the Quran to them to keep them at bay (some sort of exorcism shit), while they harassed him and rode on top him, they also came to me leaning on me and scaring the shit out of me, until the break of dawn when they went away, Momo felt very weighed down and tired and slept on my lap.

It's honestly not something I ever heard about before so it doesn't have any well-known classical meaning, but looking it up I found debates of scholars doubting its legitimacy or trying to make sense of it. But the consensus seems to be that it's a "strange" hadith.

this has been my point for the past few days, it's obvious that Muhammad (piss be upon him) didn't get sodomized by zuttjeets
Jeets are pamming this stuff from their discord, it's counter-productive
there's plenty of disgusting stuff in the Quran already, like pedophilia being legalized explicitly (like in the Talmud)
>>
>>215799894
It's been discarded as far as I know, Arm al-Bakali which is part of the chain is not confirmed to be a Sahabi (companion of Momo) and so his narration isn't trustworthy.
Hence the lack of authenticity for the Hadith.

If it was discarded, it would have been explicitly labeled as such (which it hasn't), or it would have been lost over time as people would not continue to record it. At best (assuming you're trying to damage control), you can argue it's weak but you can't say it is outright false.
>>
>>215798975
Why did they archive that particular hadith

>>
>>215802641
semantics, a non-sahih hadith is by default discarded from the corpus of hadith you're supposed to trust as a muslim, called sahih hadith
it's found exactly in one book from 1200 years ago, you can't retroactively erase it so it continues to exist there, but you can say it carries no weight
>>
>>215798620
Why would followers of islam will writing something like this?

Either it's true or the whole islam thing is fake.
>>
>>215803278
>Carries no weight.

So this is how it goes.

Quran:
The Quran came from divine revelation, according to Islamic belief, where God revealed His words to the Prophet Muhammad through the Archangel Gabriel. This process began in 610 CE in a cave on Mount Hira near Mecca and continued over the next 23 years until Muhammad's death. These revelations were orally transmitted, and after his death, Muhammad's followers compiled them into the holy book of Islam.

Basically means what God told to mohmmad.

Hadith
Hadith are vital in Islam as a source of guidance, providing context and practical application for the Quran's principles, and serving as a secondary source for Islamic law and ethics alongside the Quran. They offer detailed explanations of religious duties, like prayer, and illustrate the Prophet Muhammad's Sunnah, or way of life, which guides Muslims in their personal and social conduct.

Hadith is what prophet Mohammed did. It's written by his followers who observed his life.

Both are important.
