I was thinking about something /med/, what is the least interesting period of your country's history? For Italy I think the XVII and XVIII centuries, because most of the peninsula was dominated by foreign powers and not that many relevant events happened (if not in intellectual history, e.g. Galilei, the Enlightenment, the birth of modern criminal law with Beccaria)
>>215843675If we consider the starting date to be 987, I guess between 1453-1618 is relatively unknown? Also 987 - 1096 is even worse
>>215843903Yeah yeah, the X century is a good cut-offI would have to agree with you, can't remember much about those two periods except for Caterina de' Medici
>>215844054In France people will tell you 1515 Marignan, but probably not much more about the battle. And religious war with st bartelemy massacrebut then ???people are really bad in history in general i think
>>215843675>what is the least interesting period of your country's history? The present day. Nothing ever happens.Jokes aside idk, I hated history in elementary and hs.
Mad how posting speed decreases when the og thread gets nuked after you know who appears.Sad.
>>215844392brit edish made for you
>>215843675The period between the Romans leaving and the Anglo-Saxons arriving probably. Technically, this only covers the years between 407AD and around 500AD, but you could stretch it by a couple of hundred years in either direction because literally nothing happened in England for about 500 years.
>>215844441Thanks sis, already downloaded the vid.And fuck you for reminding me of the annoying bitch gf.To thank you, I give (you) this screenshot that you can use to shut down your brother from another mother.
>>215844392Grim>>215844463I suppose that the period between the departure of the Romans and the first Viking raids is not that famous, yeah
never ask a french about the merovingian/carolingian other than clovis, pepin le bref, charles martel and charlemagne
>>215844536Well that's the time of the Arthurian legend, at least it's present in pop culture.
>>215844621You're right, but it's almost impossible to ascertain what's history and what's myth of the Arthurian saga>>215844614Well I wouldn't be able to tell you much else either
Good night med
Italy-Israel is about to start, hopefully we'll bash some Jews
>>215844720for italy i guess one could speak about byzantine empire trying to retake italy, but then idk, a bunch of irrelevants dudes fightings i guess
Mental how the ZUTT meme make them angry
>>215844777I'm decently knowledgeable about the early Mediaeval period because I'm interested in history, but the average person definitely doesn't know shit
My apologies for the shitty fb link but I couldn't find a better footage. I just wanted to say that I saw them but had no idea they were here for the Vulcan anniversary.https://www.facebookcom/share/r/17QEPFGPsP/>>215843675I am not sure. Roman Malta was probably not too eventful. Alternatively, maybe the 90's.
>>215844463you fucking pleb; imagine looking at the hoxne hoard and thinking "boring"it was total civilisation collapse and it was KINOI hope your island faces the likes of Hengist and Horsa again just for uttering such utter buffoonery

Oh, Bloodlines 2 releases this month? I didn't know. I still had the mindset that it is going to release in a distant future.

>>215845083>the most exciting thing that happened during this period is that someone put some gold and silver coins in a box, then forgot about itI also heard that one man spilled his beer too. Lot happening that century, huh?
>>215844463Not nothingThe gestation of a colossal empire
>>215844827Can you really blame them? On the other hand, it isn't our fault that they follow a guy that got passed around by jeets.

Leaving the lush delta of the Thirr behind. It's all stony crags now but it gets worse. Beyond this valley lies the Armun Ashlands. The worse you'll get this side of the Inner Sea.Not gonna go all the way there yet, I'm good but I'll need to get better.I got a lot of shit to deal with in Bal Foyen anyway.
Attempt #2
>>215845543think they'll remaster Morrowind?on the one hand the Oblivion remaster made them a metric fuckton of money, on the other hand Morrowind is a bit more complex than Oblivion so it may have less of a mainstream appeal so I can see them pivoting towards a Fallout 3/NV remaster instead
Will increase the amount of grind from tomorrow. Might try hitting a bit earlier, and will definitely work until later than usual. I think I'll play the half life games on the weekends, but afterwards I'll drop gayming as I want to read a 2000 pages long series fr fr.>>215845256Mid.
> Might try hitting a bit earlierMight try hitting the gym a bit earlier*Kek
>>215845864I don't have much interest in remasters t bh. Just don't see the point. What I like is the opposite actually, more content in the same engine. But on that topic, if they did Oblivion, why not Morrowind?
>>215846312What book series?
>Nato chief Mark Rutte joked about the condition of Russia's naval fleet on Monday as Moscow denied one of its submarines had to surface because of technical problems.>Russia's Black Sea Fleet said the diesel-powered submarine Novorossiysk had surfaced off France to comply with navigation rules in the English Channel, through which it was shadowed by a UK warship and helicopter.>Dutch authorities had said on Saturday the submarine was under tow in the North Sea.>"What a change from the 1984 Tom Clancy novel The Hunt for Red October. Today, it seems more like the hunt for the nearest mechanic," Rutte said in a speech in Slovenia, saying the "broken" vessel was "limping" home.
>>215846597I read that book, quite entertaining
>>215846656I only watched the movie desu
>>215846574It's about the basics of psychology. The series was written by Philip Zimbardo who is (or was) a lecturer at Stanford.Actually it's only 1050 pages long, idk how I remembered it to be 2000 fr fr.I can't find the same publication in English, so I assume it's more of a collection of his works. Are you reading or studying anything nowadays, masri?
Scratched the front of the car against another car at a crossroads.Walls on both side of the road obscuring the view, two huge trucks parked or whatever on the right side, forcing me to go through the left and leaving me no space to return to the right side before the crossroads itself (the front truck was hiding the stop sign by the way).Had to peek with the front of the car while I was on the left lane to check if any car was coming and there was. Very light touch and some scratches (cleaned them already), but the Renault badge went flying in the air. The other car got some scratches on his door. I guess he couldn’t see me either. The fucking truck drivers took off immediately when I started autistically taking pictures of them and the roads.Should have called the police (the other guy said the same). Now I’m waiting for him to call me to check on the damages (I guess he’ll want me to pay to paint his door if polishing it is not enough). Now I’ll have to order a badge from chinkland (I’ve seen official parts prices and they only sell the badge with the rest of the front bumper for a shitload of money). Also, I was at that crossroads because I got mistaken and turned before I was supposed to. If only I didn’t get the exits wrong…Fucking trucks pictured. Parked too close to the crossing too, and in a continuous line which is illegal, by the way.
>>215846962Could have just said you had a Moselle moment.
>>215846922I don't read brainy shit like this. But yes I'm currently reading a novel by Stephen King about a dude who goes back in time to try and prevent JFK from getting capped. It's a bit long tho. Why are you going to read a 1K page book about psychology doe?
>>215847527>I don't read brainy shit like this>lemme just pull out a study of my ass published at 16:07, 13th january 2016 which I read at 23:07 27th march 2022.MASRI!!!!!>Why are you going to read a 1K page book about psychology doe?Curiosity.

Just dropped the clothes iron and broke it, Murphy’s Law is real.
>>215846398Skyrim is by far their most popular game and Oblivion is very similar mechanically, Morrowind's hit chance mechanics wouldn't be as popular I don't think
Did lots more writing these past couple of weeks. Finished second drafts for the first two parts of my novel, giving me a total of around 85k words of basically finished material (just needs to be reviewed again once everything is complete). Also completed first drafts of the next three chapters.Wrote a couple more short stories while taking a break from it, submitting one of them to a Halloween-themed competition (other was too far over the word count and I couldn't trim it down enough).>>215846962>>215847134Momo moment. I like the twirly skidmarks in the middle of the road too. I like to think that you did doughnuts afterwards, just to rib it in.JARVIS, look up local road accidents in Portugal, filter by Volvo cement mixers. Dispatch local agents Tinkerbell, Mr Sniffles and Lucy Fur to reconnoitre the situation.
Good night, sisters.Watched the last episode of Shimoneta tonight. It was a nice anime ngl.
>>215849192Nice.
>>215849192if your novel is even half as poetic as your posts it'll be the greatest literary achievement of the Anglo-Saxonic race since Beowulf
>>215849419In Australia, they actually say "noice", and I think that's beautiful.>>215849673It will be shit, but I already appreciate what I've learnt from the process so far. I think once I've completed it, I'll write a small essay afterwards to try and summarise everything I did wrong and what lessons I took from it.I think I will be happy as long as I end up finishing it though. As long as it has a start, a middle and an end, and a narrative that somewhat makes sense, I will sleep easy at night.
>>215850017Noice.
>>215850017looking on the bright side if you look at your previous work, think it's shit and see what you could have done differently then that objectively just means you're getting better
