People have been saying 4chan is dead since I started browsing in 2014, but is it actually now? I mean the last new boards were in 2020, UK is getting prepared to ban it, it was literally down for like a month last April. It sort of feels like we're part of a video game that still kind of active but support got cut for it and there'll be no new updates.
Whole website seems half abandoned at this point there are threads here and who stay for 5 hours without replies. On /his/ it happens even to threads from yesterday. It was unimaginable in earlier years
>>215885104Its weird too because the majority of memes still being posted across their internet can have their origins traced back to 4chan, but I can't for the life of me think of the last meme made by 4chan since at least the election. Its like we lost our cultural relevance but there's also no one else to fill in the gap.
>>215884984Ever since the downing and the leaks this site has been infinitely slower like never before. Only exception is /pol/ which is like old /b/ except they are irl retarded.
Also there is no newcomers. Everyone who post here is an oldfag or was at this website before sharty shenanigans. I think 4chan fate is stagnation and dying. That being sad i don't blame them. Who wants come to website where 90% of posts is religious and political larping made by unemployed neets in their 30s and 40s
>>215885196>Who wants come to website where 90% of posts is religious and political larping made by unemployed neets in their 30s and 40sHasn't that always been what this site is known for though? Just fat losers talking shit to eachother?
>>215885180Well obviously. The moderation became overbearing and absolutely insufferable. Back in the day you could have loli threads running for days until they were finally pruned and daily cp threads, but now all the jannies are swarming on your ass like niggers on a basketball the moment you post any cunny whatsoever. What kind of an insane person would stay on a site whose moderation actually hates you?
>>215884984It jumped the shark and landed in the real world. It was never good, but having to deal with it all day out there makes coming here feel like an addiction that's run its course.
>>215885235True. I've even gotten 3 day bans for saying nigger on this board. I think they stopped doing it but /biz/ forced you to identify yourself with an email for a little while. The mods deserved their doxxing desu. Sad to see the site go to shit though.
>>215885288I've gotten banned for calling someone a "zigger" on /k/. If your site has users because it's a chill free speech zone that's notorious for being the asshole of the internet, then what happens when you start adopting the same fucking politically correct stances as all the other media companies? What a mystery.
>>215885246Unironically 4chan is good now. Half of any social media website nowadays are algorithm driven. Here it is still chronological even if some posters are botniggers.
>>215885358what happens is that you drive all of the colon polyps into politics
>>215885231Look at 2016-2020 threads in archive. These were the same people but had youth, life, energy etc. It was crazy but fun. As they started to get old that fun disappeared and turned into withering and apathy. You no longer can pretend that you aren't loser>>215885180The power of 4chan lied in it that it was crazy but never serious and kinda isolated from real world. 2016 elections won by 4chan ruined that illusion and forced anons to rapid process of growing up. This is when abnormal political and religious larping started. They were still manchildren but needed to hide it behind a veil. There was no fun anymore
>>215885378despite being here right now, I feel like less of a loser now than I was when I first came here.
>>215885378>You no longer can pretend that you aren't loserThis line kinda true but also kinda hurts
Place got too big for its own good. Agenda driven posters can all go to hell.
>>215885235Kys pedo freak
>>215885235hating pedos is a moral duty
>>215885616Why would I kill someone I love?
>>215885616>>215885643America... I'd say you've changed, but... how's that hunt for the Epstein files going?
>>215884984What are the chances britbongs actually do anything about it
>>215886099Debunked Democrat hoax.Yawn.
>>215886249hehe, yeah, see you on the tors
Should have accepted it's dead when OF thots started to advertise here
>>215885104It's scary how many deadzones there are on this site now, some boards won't get a post an entire day and some boards are straight ghost towns. In 2010 /b/ was 30% site traffic, shortly behind was /v/ with all the other boards getting more or less equal traffic. /x/ has absolutely plummeted, that place was thriving. It's also worth mentioning that Discord has had a hand in completely eviscerating board culture.
>>215886287>thinks camgirls are a new phenomenon
>>215886237they seem pretty motivated right now. they might.
Do you guys have an alternative to this website?
>>215888027lemonparty.com
>>215888027None that are active.
>>215888027Literally the only alternatives are twitter, which is feels so attention whorey for (you)'s it feels distasteful, and discord which you need friends for and 99% of the culture comes from 4chan anyway.
>>215888027if you are a real takeshi, go to 2channel if you are private Rodrigrez, you are fucked
>>215886428It's different, early 2010s I could go on /soc/ and sweet-talk one of your countrywomen into stripping for me any day of the week, now that board is completely dead.Sluts were always a thing but every slut being a stone-cold mercenary is a post-onlyfans phenomenon.
2 more months
>>215885180at least kino which normies turned into cinema and calling things slop which came from calling fast food goy slop are two memes that come to mind.im not sure if that matches your timeframe since i mainly use twitter for hentai so i dont know how widespread those memes have been in normie circles but i have seen them
