Question for people who live in the southern half of the equator, what's it like watching everyone else enjoying snow and cold in December and wearing those woolen lovely sweaters and cozying up under blankets with hot chocolate meanwhile the summer sun is roasting your assholes?

It must be very sour for Aussies and kiwis having to celebrate Christmas in tank tops and shorts.

Does it even snows in Tunisia? anyway I envy global northerners a bit, because christmas is meant to be cold and snowy, but at least it snows here where I live

Not in all regions but it does snow here in the winter, it's a small country, so it's not that inconvenient to go where it snows if you care that much.

Christmas is celebrated at night so the sun ain't roasting anyone. I don't associate it with snow, I associate it with annoying relatives gathering at the house, everyone drinking wine, dining and that stuff. Now the general december holiday season was always associated with beach and summer to me. It makes sense, right? Holiday, vacations, do you really think about miserable cold nights or about coconut trees and a turquoise sea? So it seems you northies are the ones doing it wrong

Christmas isn't just the dinner at night with relatives. It's the excitement for Christmas morning many days in advance to see what presents you got, it's shopping for gifts for one another in a festive and cold atmosphere. It's enjoying the warmth of our loved ones in a Time of cold.
It may seem early to you but I don't know if I'll get the chance to say this to you again, so, I wish you and your family a merry Christmas!

I really can't relate to that. My presents were usually given to me on my birthday and they were usually t-shirts. Also aren't you supposed to be muslim or something? Happy Christ birthday to you too

Hm? I'm an atheist, stores decorate for Christmas in the city center weirdly enough, I have christian friends and I love celebrating with them because it brings us closer together.

Move a bit down south.

This. All stuff they say that is "comfy" about winter and christmas is just people coping with the cold. Hot chocolate, sweaters, blankets, thermostats. Those are used because most people dislike actual cold
>>

I already live in the South. Cold is not pleasant. Though I will admit snow is quite aesthetic when viewed through the window of your warm and comfy house.

On the other hand, Slavs are actually about that life and will swim in icy lakes and jump in snow in their underwear

Cute. I grew up with the catholic version of christmas, only celebrated it with my catholic relatives and the only secular stuff was having some guy dressed as santa claus on shopping malls but I always thought that was cringe and weird. Growing up I almost never had patience to watch movies or TV series, so I didn't absorb the american coca-cola version of christmas through media, this is probably why I don't associate it with the things you say

Zamn, thought we was speaking to a mini soda resident.

But an addendum, we do decorate our houses with fake pine trees and hang balls on it and put blinking lights and put a star on top. I think this is American influence right?
>>
>>215967978
You don't have christmas trees?
Italy is (was before immmigration) almost entirely catholic but christmas trees are everywhere.
We don't reach american excesses but we are familiar with that aestethic.
>>
>>215967832
you got it backwards, nothing wrong with the cold if you dress accordingly, the snow is the real enemy making it harder to drive and making everything messy when it melts
>>
>>215966003
seething with envy unironically, if you're a poorfag and don't have AC your life is a living hell.
>>
>>215966591
kind of a retarded niggered image since we also have places with snow don't you think

It's a joke, bro. Chillax, it's almost Christmas so behave yourself, don't automatically assume the worst of people.

oooh my bad O.G.
