>>215977882It doesn't sound that different from Spanish phonetically (basically the same Iberian consonants and 5-vowel system). Grammatically it's totally alien to Europe and Indo-European languages however. Interestingly, my home state has a large population of them (came in the 1800s and early 1900s as sheep herders) so the local university has a center for the study of Basque language and they publish a massive multi-dialect dictionary of it
