redpill me on bulgariai visited recently and it seemed pretty amazing, albeit quite poor. i resonate with the mountainfolk who wanted to stick it to the ottomans and not pay taxes though.what's the catch? nice place to live or what?
can someone redpill me on the government-funded anglo colonization of Bulgaria
>>215996250idk i just went and the people were really nice and the nature is beautiful, lots of off-grid opportunities and stuff like that which i'm into
>>215996197It's very common for EU medicine and dentistry grads to study in Sofia. It's still a very affordable city while being large enough for an outlife and high standards of living and all that
>>215996384the catch is that the institutions are collapsing and everything is turning into the wild west and whichever rural house you get baited into buying, like your fellow countrymen are getting baited en masse, will lead you to the realization that the closest hospital is 50km away, then 100km away, then there's no running water anymore, then there's a regime for electricity, then there's a collapse of law enforcement that leads to the gypsymaxxing of your village, and only then will you realize that the Bulgarian who sold you his house for 10k happened to know his country better than you did
>>215996604interesting, i mean it does seem pretty wild west (i visited a rural area) but if someone is self-sufficient and integrates well then i guess the only issues are infrastructure and lawlessness? or is there more to it
>>215996197it's nice if you live in one of the 3-4 big cities and make at least 2k€ a month
>>215996197romania but poorer
>>215996693>i mean it does seem pretty wild westIt's going to get worse. In fact it's already getting worse in real time, you just cannot access the internal whining that we're doing about it.As for the tradstead that you're envisioning, sure. You can probably LARP out your power fantasy of an American colonist like all the other anglos are doing, and it's going to cost you like 30k pounds with the renovation, but you should see that money as a short-term investment that will deprecate and become a liability shortly after. I cannot underline how important it is that the healthcare and public utilities are collapsing and how you'll feel like you're stuck in an open prison that you can't escape anymore because you anchored your assets to your spot. Just do like all of us are doing and bugmaxx into Sofia, or Varna or Plovdiv, although the latter two are already on that trajectory as well.
>>215997214well we have plenty of liquid funds (could purchase/renovate outright easily) and also have people who are willing to look after the property if we're not there (who are also eastern euros) so assets aren't really an issue, it's more about quality of life and how much people would accept us as dumb anglos
>>215997388oh if it really is like a luxury that you don't mind taking a risk on, then sure. Contact your fellow anglos from the youtube channels and go live with them. In terms of acceptance and you fitting in socially, no, people do not generally tolerate someone who cannot speak the language, but lucky you - you'll be surrounded by just anglos. If you're talking more about a long-term kind of a thing, like actually learning the language and sending your kid to our schools to integrate with us, then this is a good video on exactly that experience https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5vo7tNnFpJs
>>215997739thanks a lot, i appreciate the answers
