I'm ugly and short. However, my gothic style has helped me cope, even if it doesn't necessarily make me attractive. My platforms elevated me to acceptable male height and it really does make a difference. People, even women, often approach me to compliment my style (THOUGH I've encountered my fair share of harassers, too). It has opened up social opportunities for me as well. There are more goth girls than goth guys, but you'd have to be genuinely a goth for it pan out, anyway. I'll be honest, I'm not really interested in relationships or sex with women
