>Norway's max sentence for any crime is 21 years
>This nigga is getting out in 7 years
why are wypipo so trusting
>>
>>216010344
he ate tho

https://no.wikipedia.org/wiki/Forvaring

Run it through google translate or whatever. He's (probably) never getting out of prison.
>>
>>216010344
he promised to not do it again
>>
scandinavia's tolerance and compassion for humanity is the reason they will not exist in 50 years
>>
>>216010627
>us scandis don't have life sentences because we believe in reformation of criminals, not just punishing them like you untermensch
>unless we decide someone needs a life sentence, then we just keep extending their sentence until they die
a fucking judicial system based around virtue signaling lmao
>>
>>216010692
This. Just fucking kill them instead. This retard is a waste of food, air, the electricity needed for his PS2 to run.
Imagine aliens finding out we fed, clothed and entertained mass murderers in certain parts of the world simply because the lawmakers were too fucking stupid and high on abstraction to conceive of retards shooting up random people with rifles.
>>
>>216010692
It's essentially just automatic mandatory appeals processes, he does have the chance to be released from prison were he to demonstrate the ability to reintegrate. Unlikely it will happen with Breivik, but it might happen for Manshaus for example, who has certainly changed his tune over the past years.
>>
>>216010740
he really has a ps2 in prison?
>>
>>216010740
There was a guy serving the same kind of sentence as Breivik who was released a few years ago after having served 21 years in prison. Why was he released? Well it turns out he was completely innocent and the prosecution had fucked up storage of evidence, meaning he was convicted entirely on the basis of circumstantial evidence and a testimony by the guy that actually did the crime. Should we have executed him?
>>
>>216010840
Yeah, you ruined his life anyhow by throwing him away for 21 years. Just put the fucker down.
>>
>>216010840
Yes, nothing will return those 21 years of his life. Just shoot him and give 500k euros to his closest family.
>>
>>216010858
>>216010862
Well, I'm certainly glad that's a fringe view here.
>>
>>216010908
You just feel better that you haven't executed him - that you gave him a second lease on life. Except his second lease is pretty short and filled with all sorts of problems now. And the cost of this insignificant justice? We now have to pay billions a year to house and keep a population which is 95% likely to have been truly guilty of the crimes that they were sentenced to death for.

In California alone, that number is $137 billion/year.
>>
>>216010627
why can't you be informative and give us a recap instead

some people are sick in the head, they never change. you think a psycho is going to get cured ?
>>216010858

i think european countries give lots of money for people who were wrongfully convicted

Death to chuds
>>
>>216011196
You could give the fool a billion dollars, and he would not be able to live a life like he could if he was 40 years younger. It makes no difference, his life was already stolen.

>>216011208
This kind of attitude is why pakistanis run around and shiv/assault timmies in your streets. You need to find strength inside yourself or you'll be devoured by the evils of this world.

you’re a cringey faggot and you should consider suicide

No.

I don't know shit about Norwegian laws but I'm guessing they can find a way to "release" him from prison and indefinitely keep him in a mental hospital
>>
>>216010692
so do you want him to stay in prison or not
>>
>>216010840
>Should we have executed him?
>Sorry we imprisoned you for 21 years and your family completely abandoned you during your incarceration. Here’s 50 kroner for compensation o algo. We all are human and make mistakes :)

Very American post, quite shamful.
>>
Americans are mentally buckbroken by the Jews as evidenced by some individuals here
>>
>>216011475
What’s stopping foreigners from visiting your country and breaking as many law as possible? It’s not like your prisons would be a deterrent to them
>>
>>216011457
Quite an insightful response. ***farts***
>>
>>216011434
They actually believe this is justice and pat themselves on the backs like this is any better. It's a very egotistical claim if you think about it.
>>
>>216011475
jews in politics are anti capital punishment though
>>
>>216011509
It's not like your prisons are a deterrent for anyone either, seeing how there is much more as much violent crime happening in the great Burgerland
Go on say it, Chuddie.
>IT'S DA NOOOOOGZ
>>216011537
I don't care about what Jews do, it was just an euphemism for calling this guy retarded
>>
>>216011434
>>216011531
He was afforded 55 million in damages and he's only 46, so I'd wager he'll be fine.
>>
>>216011633
You say that, but you don't actually know. You just came up with substitutive justice in your head and said "Oh he'll be happy with 55 million" but you have never actually walked up to a single exonerated individual and asked if they would prefer money or their youth. I bet a lot of them are fundamentally broken on an individual level and quite frankly don't know what to do with their lives.

More yuropean assumptions and smugness. It becomes tiring after a while
>>
>>216011172
Our incarceration rates dropped like a rock when we institutes these prison reforms throughout the 80s, 90s and 00s, we have a grand total of six (6) individuals serving this kind of sentence, so overall it's actually saved us a lot of public cost, even though we spend more money per prisoner than before.
>>
>>216011402
>so do you want him to stay in prison or not
This is 4chan. They just wanna bitch about the Nordics 24/7, we live rent free in their heads.
>>
>>216011633
can i get falsely imprisoned too please ?
I will kill you, but you write a letter saying that it was suicide that would be uncovered years later as a proof of my innocence. We can split the money.
>>
>>216011475
Being circumcised induces extreme psychosis
>>
>>216011682
I am not talking about prison reforms. I wish our prisons were more like Norway too, but there are many factors that prevent this.

Unless you're suggesting getting rid of the death penalty ALONE is responsible for the incarceration drop (it isn't).
>>
>>216011670
Well why do YOU assume he wouldn't be okay with having the money and still living instead of dying in his 20s when he was put in prison for the first time?
You really are retarded
>>
>>216011721
Well no, of course not. But still, it's preferable that we do not have the death penalty since it offers a chance for these people to reintegrate, again I think Manshaus is a likely prospect for this, and we DO have an example of one of the few people having been given this sentence having turned out to have been wrongfully convicted.

So, why did he do it? Weren’t those kids the children of politicians?

Does Norway have a day of remembrance for them? Crazy how many people were personally affected
>>
>>216011734
I'm not the one taking the moral high ground. If the court sentences an innocent man for mass murder, it's fucked either way. Just put two in his head and move on. If he was innocent, the closest family member can be paid. If not, no worries.

Is this "fair"? No? Is putting him away for 20+ years and giving him money also fair? No. What's also not fair? The taxpayers having to house these people. What happens if they refuse to pay taxes? The thugs come and throw them in jail too. Nothing is fair. Life isn't fair.

Lots of things aren't "fair" with courts and prosecution. It's a dispute resolution strategy, not a moral tool.

He should have gotten the death penalty but if you're going to keep him in prison for life then just put him in prison for life
