Which Africans make the best food? Have you tried African food in your country?
>>216010792
I wanna try Nigerian Bush meat at least one
East African cuisine is what Indian could be if it tried to present more than just some slop with spices.
>>216010792Moroccan or Ethiopian
>>216010792Easily Ethiopian/Horn Of Africa as it's closest to Indian cuisineRest don't know how to season dey food
>>216010792that looks so unappetizing is this what africans eat? ethiopian one looks like stool, on top of spongebobs grandma, nigerian one looks like mystery meat in mud and unedible, kenyan one looks okay if thats tofu and vegetables i'm assuming, the somali one looks solid
>>216010859nyama choma looks quite nice
>>216011118you wouldn't want to try any of them? the somali food i tried was pretty tasty
>>216010792there's an ethiopian place in my city that I've gone to a few times and it's always good, I kind of like what they've got going onhaven't tried any of the others doe
>>216010990>nigerian one looks like mystery meat in mud and unedibleDo you not know how stews look like?
>>216010927>Rest don't know how to season dey foodUnless you import the spices, seasonings and herbs or it doesn't work out well. You can use some prepackaged stuff, try to come up with ingredient/seasoning analogues but it doesn't really line up well. A lot of the cuisine in West Africa (or Africa in general) use local breeds of crops or ingredients that aren't used much elsewhere.
>>216010861They actually eat a ton of Indian food in East Africa. It was everywhere when I last went to Nairobi.
>>216010792I like Doro Wot, so Ethiopian food for me. But I've also heard good things about suya and jollof rice>>216010927This as well, Kenyans and Tanzanians also have great food cultures with rich intermixing between African and Indian foodways
>>216010792From what I’ve had, it goes:1. Moroccan2. Somali 3. EthiopianNaan is so good
>>216011394Yeah, and it's better than what you get in India or Indian restaurants here.t. has been to Tanzania.
>>216010859SOPA

>>216011723MOCACO
Oh no, this is actually a nice thread. Have I ruined it?
>>216011760lol, i mean those are their traditional foods
>>216010792I've tried Somali and Ethiopian, both were good. Nigerian always looks crazy. Very unappealing.
>>216011394This. I've been to Tanzania. Samosas, chapatis, curries, chai, and pulao were ubiquitous.
>>216011738Idk why these visitors insisted on giving the Hadza pots. Bushmeat looks like it would be super gross boiled, I'd rather just have it roasted.
>>216012078>roasted over a fireThat's how you get AIDS. Boiling ensures it's cooked thoroughly.
ethiopian food looks bad but is actually good, at first i thought they served me a poop platter, but was mistaken, their food is great
>>216011118Kys yt boi
>>216012102They were fine before whitey gave them anything, chud.
>>216010792imo the Afrikaaners did some really good things with their cuisine. Other than that I am uniniciated.
>>216012193South African food actually looks good, very interesting African, Cape Malay, Indian, and European fusion. I have heard consistently good things about the quality of food there from tourists, especially the local lamb
>>216010792>Have you tried African food in your country?Brazilian food is pratically an african food.
>>216010792Just Moroccan food and it was pretty good. I’ve heard Ethiopian food is nice and I’d like to Jollof rice.
>>216010861>>216010927There's Indian food all over African metropolitan areas apparently>>216010990The problem with African food is that it has poor presentation but Ethiopian food seems to be getting more popular where I live
>>216010792>West AfricaMystery meat pepper pots with a gorillion ingredients that look like witches' brew, eaten with doughy starches >East Africa (specifically the Bantu regions, excluding Ethiopia)Very simply prepared local vegetables, grilled fish and chicken, lots of boiled beans and corn, lots of bananas and fresh fruitI honestly did not encounter foods in East Africa that were offensive to the palate or nose. I did get violently sick after eating at the Dar es Salaam fish market, though
>>216013032Haven’t tried Ethiopian or somalian?
>>216013250I have and I like them, I just wanted to generalize on how most Bantus in east and southeast Africa eat, which is quite different from how they eat in the Horn of Africa.
