What do burgers think of leafs? And vice versa?
>>
I like our northern neighbors and I wished we were being nicer to them.
But they do 100% have to admit that we have essentially the same culture.
>>
Nobody here thinks about Canada. Many times we forget they exist
>>
I love our Latinx neighbours.

>same culture
Anglos told me they like the northern states best but there's no similarities between Quebec and upstate NY VT NH and ME besides French surnames
>>
>>216011565
When we say Canada we mean Anglo Canada. Not the fr*nch tumor festering on it
>>
>>216011565
There's probably greater variation between my flyover state and Louisiana than there is between New York and Quebec. Language not withstanding.
>>
I love Canadian Jews. Don't care much for the goyim.
>>
i never think about canada until i see some dogshit post under their flag
>>
>>216010967
I’d never step foot in there respectfully. I’m not getting stabbed by some nigger
>>
>>216010967
I like Canadians
>>
>>216010967
I unironically view Canada as a fake country.
>>
they have always been very nice to me and the current situation it brings in a sadness over me.
vancouver was very nice to visit but it seemed very expensive; this was some decade ago however
>>
I like Canadians and I've enjoyed my visits to Canada. I hope they can avoid being overrun by...y'know.
>>

America is too bipolar for me
>>

Use to be (as late as the 90s) when you went on road trip between the two, they had a different feel. It started right at the border crossing as burger border station and guards were a different kind of feel than leaf ones. Now it's all kind of the same. Everything homogenized.
>>
the ones I've chatted with on /sp/ and /int/ are cool. Think I've only met them 3 times outside my house but they were nice people
>>
>>216011769
This is absolutely correct. Canadian zoomers are now speaking with American accents instead of speaking like their parents did
>>
I used to work in hospitality in south florida, canadians were the nicest people. French canadians were the rudest group of people ive ever met, worse than the actual french
>>

the old border crossing between Saskatchewan and Montana used to be very quaint. small little building, the american guards (the two of them, total) were awesome, relaxed and friendly. The Canadian side was more uptight, strict, cold, clinical, even if you were a Canadian citizen returning from the states. This was before 911 of course. And the jeet wave.

Yeah sorry going to Florida is like a retard certificate for Quebs. Nothing wrong with Florida itself, it just attracts our biggest retards (and retarded boomers) for some reason.
>>216011603
Every country says that, look at same flags shitting on each other daily
>>216011590
lol we were there first you sharter
>>
>>216012212
Yeah but I have some first-hand experience with that. Toronto felt like any other American city nearby it just with better public transportation (visited before the Jeet swarm), and Manitoba/western Ontario is just an extention of the midwest.
We're just so ingrained with each other culturally and economically you have to go out of your way to go out of your way to differentiate between what is Canadian and American half the time.
>>
I'm trying to convince them to let me live there but everywhere that was worth living in is now Chinese or Indian

Quebec is obviously a unique case. Ontario is pretty much a second NY and Alberta is like a mini Texas. I hear BC is pretty similar to Washington too.

>>216010967
Western provinces are alright. I hate Ontario because it reminds me too much of my own state. Quebec is based for defending their culture but have the same white nigger inferiority complex that the Irish do and need to cut it out. They will all eventually join the US.
>>
>>216010967
Great people but awful fascist government, i feel bad for burgers desu
>>
Upper Canada was populated by Loyalists so I just keep that in mind when dealing with them. I also wish all the Chinese and Indian people would go home and the demographics would reset to like 1950s Canada. Both of us would benefit from that because we don't want Chinese bordering us and you don't want Chinese

>But they do 100% have to admit that we have essentially the same culture.
i think to outsiders, it's true, but for people who have lived in us/can it's very different region to region.

mostly, i envy americans because they are so much wealthier. many jobs pay the same is USD as in CAD, but less tax, lower cost of living, etc. obviously i don't think it's a paradise, but there is a reason brain drain only happens in 1 direction

It's more like "certain regions of the US and Canada have the same culture" actually (I'm a dual Aussie-American citizen but lived in the Northeast US for some time)
New England and the Canadian Maritimes = Same
Minnesota and Manitoba, western Ontario = Same
Washington and British Columbia = Same
But e.g. Ontario and the Southern US are *NOT* the same at all
>>
>>216010967
They hate us now because we put tariffs on them and we elected blumpf.
>>
>>216011076
Thank you bro. I appreciate our South Asian bros in the north.
>>
>>216010967
Born in NY and lived there for some time so I'll chime in
Most northern Americans who live near Canada have been there or at least know enough that it's a largely positive opinion and friendly perception of Canada from our part, but this is a one way street as Canadians view us as A) a cultural threat to them and B) more violent, less "refined", etc.
Unfortunately for the southern part of the US they've been fully consumed by media brainrot and the further away from the border you get, the more you see some retards who think that Canada is "communist" (world's first Communist Monarchy lmao) and that they're ripping us off, somehow.
Americans are also Francophobic to Quebec, but frankly Anglo-Canada is also Francophobic so that's actually a similarity
