Way better than the Baptist and Methodist churches I’ve been to. Felt more ancient. No dumb bands playing tambourines with flashing lights in the background like at the Methodist churches. The entire church was converts too which was very inviting,

Was the service in Russian?

I'm not Christian, but I've never understood how what was essentially a rock concert could be considered a religious service. Feels disrespectful and not befitting the gravity of the occasion

No it was in English. The only Russian was some brief phrase in a chant they were saying.

Exactly why I left the Methodist church. Felt like a parody of Christianity. Also not to get too chuddy but this Orthodox Church was entirely white and full of big white families with like 4 kids each. Was nice to see for a change.

did you receive your drone repellent prayer + talisman?
>>

There's much worse, like that muslim demonic banshee wailing.
>>

They prayed for the souls of Russian and Ukrainian orthodox Christians both in their homeland and in the diaspora :3

Glad you enjoyed it, I've attended a few times (I'm very ecumenical).
Unfortunately the RO are plagued with terrible spokesmen, like Jay Dyer and his insane takes.
>>
>>216012637
were they heaps of old white people like your average american protestant church or from every ethnicity you can think of like catholics?
>>
>>216012772
I hung out afterwards with a couple of the fathers and some attendees drinking coffee and the fathers were walking shit about Dyer lmao
>>216012786
What’s surprising is there were way more young people there than old people. All the big families had parents in their early thirties.
