yep, there is even a mod called "ETS2/ATS Local Radio" that allows you to listen to real radio stations in real time.
i realized i'm practically fluent in euro portuguese, spanish, italian, and english, but I can't understand shit from other languages.

ETS2 is a fucking vibe. It's not entirely accurate, but, no one expects it to be. But it's got something good going for it, and is generally accurate. If it's your kind of way to see more of the continent when you can't do so yourself due to financial, time or responsibilities, i'll gladly say it's one of the better ways to do so.

I got high off my ass one time and fired up euro truck in VR, drove through poland on my route and a church service was playing on the radio, and I was fucking glued to the sermon despite not knowing a lick of the language

one of the best gaming experiences of my life

I really like just driving long hauls and listening to music but the parking makes me want to kill myself and made me drop the game, even the "leave it wherever" option.
