*note: I got random image as picrel so just ignore it or comment about it idk & idc
With that out of the way:
Grand grand parents lived in Ukraine and Russia, just switched between places, all were Jewish as far as I'm aware, then switched a lot of countries, then my parents and grandparents lived in Russia, Moscow (dad) and Azerbaijan, Baku (mom) but my mom doesn't speak azeri, but her side has people that either decently speak azeri/know stuff about Azerbaijan, or speak on native level azeri, although some of them dead. Most of my grandparents and grandgrandparents speak or spoke awful Hebrew but amazing Russian. Both my parents immigrated to Israel in the 90s, and heavily assimilated, my mom has heavy Russian accent, my dad almost has Israeli accent (in reality it's Russian accent but with cutsie voice for some reason but that's just my Israeli confusion), both speak Hebrew really well, but I speak every goddamn language I know really badly including Hebrew, Russian and English (with others I only know a bunch of random phrases). Here's my voice in different languages, rank how I speak in them:

I'll let you judge for yourself whether it's good or terrible
Also, I learn Russian now and at times I can understand 100% of speech or near that while other times near 0%, but my speech is preety terrible but still better than Americans as far as I'm aware. So what am I?

>I'm russian?
Yes
>>
>>216014840
I will deal with the fact that I ain't Russian but:
Moя cтapшaя ceмья pyccкaя, пoтoмy чтo oни жили в pyccкoязычных cтpaнaх вo вpeмeнa CCCP и дaжe кoгдa cyщecтвoвaлa Poccийcкaя импepия?
And also if I speak better than Americans Russian and especially understand better then why I'll still never be Russian even tho there's shit ton of Russians in Israel?
>>
>>216014778
>I'm russian?
Why do you care?
>So what am I?
A Jew.

>>216014778
sometimes i feel happy that my family hasn't moved from my home region for the last 1000 years so i don't need to have any identity issues, im actually more likely to be inbred if anything
>>
>>216014778
Considering that a huge number of Finno-Ugric and Turkic peoples are considered Russian today, you too can consider yourself Russian. However, I don't see much prestige in being part of this inferior mass of serf cattle dying for the imperial ambitions of an old KGB dwarf rat.
In any case, you can be Russian, but you will never be Slavic
>>

Why I can't be true slavic? I understand Russian relatively well, I pronounce certain sounds in it fully correctly, sometimes or some of them even without trying, even words I don't understand I can manage to guess the meaning via root, I have blue eyes (can even post it if you don't believe), I got fully white skin (despite my very non Russian looking beard), I grew up with semi Russian culture (I'm saying semi because I grew up with both Russian and Israeli culture and I actually first grew with Russian culture and Russian language and because of speech impediments at an early age I switched to Hebrew, I even grew up on Russian cartoons and films, now I consume shit ton of Russian media of lots of types although almost exclusively new stuff, almost every single member in my family and extended family over 30 speaks or spoke (if they died) 100% fluent Russian with Russian accent in Hebrew (although how much heavy Russian accent in Hebrew really depends on their age) etc...
I could go on and on but the comment's getting too large, long and lengthy. You can even consider me fluent in Yappanese
>>
OP here, can I at least consider my older family like parents, grandparents etc... as true slavic or true Russian because of the reasons I mentioned
>>
>>216017177
Because it's genetic.
You'll also never be ethnically Nigerian or Vietnamese, for example.
Not that there's any reason to be upset.
