The constant global north's wars and shinenigans in the global south is the main reason why the former is overrun by migrants from the latter. If you tried to make the south liveable instead of destroying it by exploitation, stealing their resources and supporting islamists in Arab countries and right wingers in Latin America to own les commies, this problem wouldn't exist. USSR made Iran and Afghanistan secular, atheist and civilized, but the USA didn't like it, so they organized islamist revolutions in those countries and got islamist regimes as a result, kek.

The Mujahid jihad was already theologically en vogue when Britain conquered Egypt, and the Ottoman's grasp on its periphery was loosening. Wahhabism and Salafism are entirely endemic to the region. Reactions against outside forces, sure. But that was always going to occur.
