October 20No interviews todayCurrently applied to 4 schoolsApplied to over 60 schools in total7 interviews in total1 was successful but they had to cancel everything before starting3 failed 1 just told me "we'll keep in touch"2 were too far away from my area and didn't pay enoughStill unemployedStill living with my parentsStill have to hear normies saying it's my faultPraying I get more interviews this week instead of getting ghosted
>>216034993why would you apply to a school rather than for work
>>216035031Because I wanted to be a teacher
>>216035061oh okay, you're that guy who considered working in Poland, i remember youI hope you'll find your dream job one day
>>216035061Do you have a degree?
>>216035139I have a master's degree, a CELTA, experience as tutor and experience in schools
>>216035158do you realize teaching languages has no future in the AI world? no one will pay you for something he'll get for free, let alone that less people will need to learn English at all since AI translates stuff real-time to every obscure language on earth.you'd better learn plumbing, truck driving or any other REAL job
>>216035261>do you realize teaching languages has no future in the AI world? It won't in my lifetime
>>216035158why did you leave those previous schools?why did you fail 3 interviews?
>>216035296it has already come i cant even imagine how many translators and interpreters have lost their jobs lately, if AI translates everything perfectly and for free
Unironically learn how to weld, they get a really good salary for tradesmen
>>216035315>why did you leave those previous schools?bc it was a small project not a full time contract or anything serious>why did you fail 3 interviews?1 i forgot to revise grammar and the dude asked me a tricky question1 i didn't say i had any experience in preparing people to cambridge exams (i don't actually but i know how to so i should just have said i did to make it easier)1 figured out i stretched my experience on my resume and told me to get my references which i couldn't provide bc the dates are mismatched>>216035339teachers will always be needed in schools
>>216035435>1 i forgot to revise grammar and the dude asked me a tricky questiontricky bastard, be happy you wont work with that kind of people >1 i didn't say i had any experience in preparing people to cambridge exams (i don't actually but i know how to so i should just have said i did to make it easier)If you have a celta certificate you have the experience, just make a lesson plan based on the methods you learnt there. If an employer wants to trick you with "celta is a course not a certificate" you can tell them about the assessments you had there. >1 figured out i stretched my experience on my resume and told me to get my references which i couldn't provide bc the dates are mismatchedlol, so you lied. Sorry but normies are right on this one, you lied and got EXPOSED. Also the far away offers were a good start if they pay more than your previous schools
>>216035758>If an employer wants to trick you with "celta is a course not a certificate" you can tell them about the assessments you had there.some dumbfuck in my last interview asked why I don't have a C2, bitch I have CELTA what do I need C2 for???>Sorry but normies are right on this one, you lied and got EXPOSED.No one ever asked me for references, the first successful interviewer probably thought I lied but let it slide because she noticed I was competent. I'm using my real cv and saying I worked as a tutor since they always ask for people who know how to prepare students for these Cambridge exams. And I already had that kind of training for my CELTA so I can just lie and say I'm skilled in that.
>>216035833>some dumbfuck in my last interview asked why I don't have a C2, bitch I have CELTA what do I need C2 for???Well, Celta requires a C1 certificate (at least in my country) so you can show them that One and tell them you just didn't care about paying for another certification. >so I can just lie and say I'm skilled in that.well, if you want to keep going as a liar at least git gud at it. Or pick the remote offers and move out from your parents house already
>>216036052>Celta requires a C1 certificate (at least in my country)My master's degree works as a C1>if you want to keep going as a liar at least git gud at it.i'm just lying about my tutoring experience, training people for cambridge exams is no different from teaching them general english except you have levels for each exam, and i'm competent in that so it won't be a major issue if i pretend i already have experience
>>216036113>My master's degree works as a C1Is it certified by cambridge(IELTS) or ETS(toefl, toeic) ?If not then it doesn't. At least not internationally.>training people for cambridge exams is no different from teaching them general english except you have levels for each exam, and i'm competent in that so it won't be a major issue if i pretend i already have experienceNo, when they want you to train people for specific exams they want you to know the exact questions and structure of that exam. You better start copying the syllabus and make your lesson plans based on those questions because lying won't get you there. Here https://www.cambridgeenglish.org/Images/tkt-handbook-modules-1-3.pdfI know tkt is inferior to celta but showing those fuckers an actual cambridge exam pdf and a lesson plan you made based on it will make them shut the fuck up about that.
>>216036407>they want you to know the exact questions and structure of that examThat's clearly impossible since they change every year. Last time I checked they just ask you to use the Cambridge materials which have all the subjects and vocab needed for the exam. I already looked at A2 and B2 sample tests, they just test grammar indirectly so using the cambridge textbooks is the way to go.
>>216034993>>216034993i wouldnt want a fuck up like you teaching me
