There's no way you're encountering woke stuff in US media unless you're deliberately looking for it or hooked on gamergate retards still clamoring for relevance. The last movie I watched was Grand Piano, I enjoyed it. And the Japanese industry is extremely centralized almost every major figure in anime and manga today has some connection to Mushi Productions and 90% of studios in Japan are clustered in the same two wards in Tokyo. I've seen more repetitive isekai shit out of Japan than anything out of the US and it's not even remotely close. Same goes for stuff about cross dressing, gender bending, BL, and so on there's just more of it constantly. If you don't like movies or live action then fine, there hasn't really been a good cartoon since like Cartoon Network or Nickelodeon, people still see it as an industry for kids.
