Kial vi ne lernas Esperanton, la internacian lingvon?

>"international" language
>look inside
>ooga booga Latin

It's mostly based on Romance-languages but also has influence from Slavic languages, Greek, German, English, Yiddish, and a few others.
>>
>>216203265
But enough about Interlingua…
>>
>>216203302
So how is it "international" if it's Indo-European in both vocabulary and grammar?
>>
>>216203326
It's popular in China (to learn English)
>>
>>216203326
>grammar
Esperanto is way more agglutinative than any western european language.
>>
>>216203232
Ĉar mi jam parolas ĝin
>>
>>216203380
So? Slavic languages have a lot of agglutination and they’re still IE.
>>
I don't want to learn Esperanto because there's very little content to consoom in Esperanto, and almost all of it is about Esperanto itself. How can I immerse myself in that?
>>
>>216203685
A lot of mangas and doujins in Esperanto online. A FUCK ton. You'll be surprised - there sometimes no French, Castillian, Korean or Russian translation, but there is an Esperanto one. Very impressive for a language with ~1000 native speakers. Also, the eo wikipedia is more numerous in articles than Danish, Bulgarian, Hindi or Greek edition. You sometimes can also find better articles than in English (sometimes there's an Esperanto version but no English version)
>>
To me, nothing drives home how fucking chuddy and irredeemably evil the Nazis were than their hatred of Esperanto speakers.
>What? You want to talk with others using an international, common language?
>Exterminate these degenerates at once!

can i get a chinese gf with esperanto?

Just speak English, you fucking snowflake. Guess why this board isn’t in Esperanto.

>>216205023
because france vetoed using it as the working language of the league of nations

Indeed Esperanto allows to read:
1. Texts about Esperanto.
2. Translation of texts you can already read in another language.
Esperanto is, therefore, useless if you want to read literature.
This explains why Esperantists act like a cult in which they try to behave as a subculture (for example, they pretend there are "Esperanto food" and "Esperanto traditions", and of course an "Esperanto ideology" which is just left wing victimisation plus the utopic idea of becoming the universal language) and "preach" about Esperanto to attract new members.
They are basically the Jehovah's witnesses of language learners.

Debating Esperantists on language is like debating creationists on evolution. You are wasting your time.
>>
I have a visceral reaction to Esperanto. I despise it.
>>
>>216205471
Esperanto has a ton of literature that is neither about esperanto nor translations.
>>
>>216205639
this post is anti-semitic
>>

There is original literature in Esperanto, but I think that's not the whole point of an international auxillary language. Although fair, poetry in Esperanto is what sparked initial interest in the 19th century, nobody cared about la lingvo internacia with no media to consoom, even back then, and initial response to la unua libro was lukewarm
>>216205517
Read my post once again.

Esperanto is the biggest international language as it has no home country or native culture. Via the medium of English the whole non-English Sprachraum behaves just like a deterritorialized 51st state, just listen to your local teenagers. They're talking MrBeast and Hollywood, not an Iranian social media trend translated into English.
