most works of art are retarded for sightseeing. you telling me niggas literally go to the louvre to see something that looks exactly like it does on Google images or the millions of posters you can get on Amazon for 4.99?

Fr fr, I find most of the most highly regarded pieces of art/media throughout history to be overrated. Mona Lisa, Starry Night, Beethoven's 5th, Hamlet, The Iliad, Michelangelo's David, all mid.
K-On? Now THAT there's some REAL art, yurrrrp. They don't make em like they do now
>>
>>216233719
yeah why
>>
>>216233846

also van gogh is only famous because he was crazy
like let's be real

Most art is.
>>
>>216234230
Fine.
>>
>>216233537
true, not even joking
the only reason it got famous is because an Italian stole it in the 1900s and the case made huge news throughout Europe
Frenchies should pay us for our marketing genius
>>
what surprised me the most when I went to the louvre was how small it actually is
also it's impossible to look at the other paintings in the hall because it's always full of people in queue to take a selfie with the gioconda - they should move it a separate room with nothing else
>>

They should install a secret trapdoor in front if it that opens whenever anyone tries to take a selfie. Or a comically large set if blades hanging from the ceiling. Or a 500 ton weight. Or spikes that shoot out of the floor. Or poison dart launchers. Or bee duspensers. Splash Blindness potion launchers. Flamethrowers. Miniguns. Thermonuclear warhead with a yield of 100 megatons. Spinning lasers. Tesla coils. Huge mechs. Vietnamese bamboo spike traps. Landmines. Anthrax bombs. Unit 731 executioners. Polonium-laced umbrellas. Jet engines. Spinning blades. Chariots. Wild tigers. Liquid nitrogen showers. Zyklon B canisters. Rusty nails. Microwave guns. Centifuges. Man-sized blenders. Flesh eating amoebas. Africans with machetes. Steamrollers. Locomotives at full speed. Napalm dispensers. Carbon monoxide generators.
All at the same time.

Yes it is. If you visit the museum there's literally gigantic pieces of art in the same hall, just a few meters away that are 10 000x cooler to look at.
But everyone ignores them, piles up in a huge queue to look at a boring portrait.

Picrel is directly opposite of the Mona Lisa, it's massive and extremely detailed.
