how was college experience iyc?I almost cry every time I see/hear a media that reminds me of it
>>216237211packed with pointless suffering. a waste of time and money
Positive overall. I made friends and had good experiences. My life only went to shit after I graduated.
>>216237211I hate it. It totally ruined things for me . Wanted to drop out and join in a different course at a different place since day 1 , but due to my parents had to continue here . Overall fucking waste and this degree means nothing , won't even land a job ( in india the sole purpose of degrees is jobs ) . So yeah pretty fucked up desu.
>>216237211>First year at a huge uni in a meme STEM degree that everyone picksDepressing, gloomy, eye opening seeing as university is just an extension of highschool and that most people never actually grow up mentally past 16yo but also everyone around me is a turbo autist who's horrified of human interaction. I also missed out on the first few weeks ans didn't make any friends until the second semester where a guy noticed me playing on my computer in class and sparked a convo. I didn't keep his phone number because I change my infos every year or less and delete my socials often. Also everyone you know from highschool moves out to other cities or immigrates because moroccan big cities have no good universities>Second/third year (currently), smaller uni, smaller marketing degree but as meme as the first oneBetter especially given the fact that not only people are more outgoing here but also the degree is easier and i feel less stress fucking around. I should absolutely befriend someone tho i havent even stepped there this year

>>216237211I was totally broke for four years, wore goodwill (2nd hand store) clothes, weighed 130 pounds despite being over 6 feet tall and had to live in shithole apartments because I was a poorfag who wanted to minimize debt. I remember how amazing the summer after I graduated was, I wasn’t having to pay a thousand dollars per month to those assholes, I could buy whatever food I wanted AND save money.
>>216237211haven't gone, not sure if I ever will.I think I would thrive if I had a good professor, but it would break me if I got a stupid one, the type where you have to write the wrong answer to get the best grade
>>216237211I spent 4 years packed in a depressing little apartment running on cortisol and caffeine (bad), it was however directly responsible for me getting my current job which improved my quality of life absurdly (good), so it's possible you could make the argument it was worth it
>>216237211I never was in college/university, so no experience
i travisbicklemaxxed
I got a job in my field so it was a net positive. I will never ever go back because of how stressful exams and assignments were.
>>216237211>community college most of it was online because of covid, it was comfy because I could focus on my hobbies, but it did kind of fuck me up socially. I graduated, but I did not attend the ceremony.>universitydropped out after a semester because I kept to myself and was seen as the weird guy, and did not get any poon. waste of time and money.I still can't get a basic IT job with my Information Systems associate degree, so not having gone to college wouldn't have made a difference for me.
>>216237211Stressful sometimes, mostly unexciting. Made no friends but got along mostly well with everyone.
>>216237211Never went
>>216237211I went to see how it was for a year. Dropped and just got industrial/tradie/business certs instead. I make more money than my degree friends now. You really only need college if you're in STEM and even then, not always. I'm STEM adjacent and didn't need the full degree.
>>216237211I hated it at the time, I thought that it was sad that my childhood was over. I now miss those times and wish I'd made the most of it. Being 32 isn't so bad but I do miss all the social events etc.
Wonderful. I didn't do anything and barely talked with anyone but it was easy as fuck and I had so much time off. I'm never going to experience anything like it ever again.
