>>216241364Our left is in an identity crisis with no coherent philosophy or principles, and a recent history of failing to govern competently. Part of it is a divide between more centrist democrats ala Biden, Kamala, and the more radical socialists like Bernie, AOC, Mamdani. Any person my age and younger can see the writing on the wall: the left will either fully buy into the socialist democrat agenda, or they will continue to fail. Young people have completely drank the kool-aid on socialist policies, not knowing that the very same policies are what caused their primary gripes with living in the US. This is absolutely grim for our future. The only thread of hope I can see is the growing coalition of principled politicians who seem fed up with the polarization of politics, but time will tell if they can capitalize.This is not an endorsement of the right, but for the right it has been way too easy to stomp the democrats into irrelevance for these reasons. You can argue they don't have a coherent philosophy or principles either, as they simply fall in line with whatever Trump says, and he has absolutely no coherent philosophy on governance.
