Are these real houses meant for people to live in and not just movie sets?

1 million dollars plus tax plus tip
>>
>>216246823
These really exist and they cost 3 times what a house in your country costs.
It's actually much more expensive if you want a house made from brick or even concrete.

>100% plywood
>price range in the millions
Two towers weren’t enough
>>
>>216246968
Are they at least reinforced somehow? That shit literally looks like sawdust.

> It's actually much more expensive if you want a house made from brick or even concrete.
That's what non-US countries tend to use for building houses.
>>
>>216246823
I really don't understand why this board seethes about wood so much. Its more cost effective.
>>
>>216246823
Massive McMansions? Yeah. And they're only ever bought by retired boomers and grifter bros.
>>
>>216247913
There is a difference between timber and that bullshit which is barely better than insulation.
>>
>>216246823
Why would you even want to live in a house this big unless you plan on having like 5 kids
>>
>>216248004
They look like they would topple if you so much as bumped into them too hard.
>>
>>216248199
yeah, thats literally 4 houses
>>
>>216248199
they're being built for latinos who live with all of their dad's work friends and cousins, there will be 15 kids living there not 5.
>>
>>216248234
They're more stable once you have all the other stuff in place, but it's definitely not surviving a tornado or really any natural disaster.
And age will most certainly take it's toll. But if you're rich enough to buy one like this you're probably rich enough to shell cash out to have it fixed up every so often.
Old wooden houses here are far better long term in their structure.
>>
The framing is just a shell. They'll put insulation and interior walls inside and weather wrap and siding on the outside and then it's just a normal house.

Hurricane/tornado damage usually comes from debris hitting the structure, which could happen to brick/concrete very easily, rather than the structure itself not being able to withstand the wind force

Ironically, every one of these mcmansions built in my area has only 1-2 maybe 3 children max. The only people I have ever seen with a lot of children live in cramped apartments or in modest homes in the middle of nowhere. That or they're black children with different fathers and they live in cramped tiny homes in the hood. These suburban mcmansions are exclusively very small families or no family at all.
>>
>>216250138
they try to hide the amount of people living in their houses because they don't want government interference. the stupid old lady across the street who rents to illegals had her whole shit catch on fire and they discovered illegally converted rooms with way too many walls and doors, extreme fire hazard but at least she got to virtue signal.
>>
>>216250331
You're saying they're hiding in the mcmansions?
