>>
>>216254790
Yeah I love it :)
>>
One time, it was 10/10. The Vietnamese guy next to me dumped like half a bottle of Sriracha in his.

Unfortunately not

Probably, I can't remember where it was, but I think it was in Alexandria... We have lots of Vietnamese immigrants here, too. But I usually don't order soup in a restaurant.

How popular is Vietnamese food in Germany, generally speaking? I know there's a pretty decent Vietnamese population in Central Europe.

>pho restaurant has a dish called the "pho king"
get it? that's a little nod for us "real heads", us cultured international folks. heh heh. can't help but smirk every time I see that (which is literally every time I enter a pho place, they literally ALL do it, they can't help themselves)
happens IYC?

Germans aren't really able to tell the difference between East Asians cuisine to be honest. And they use it to their advantage. There are lots of mixed cuisine restaurants and street food shops. Mostly Thai/Vietnamese or Korean/Chinese. They'll have sushi, too. Vietnamese food is pretty common, though. I'm fortunate enough to have Chinese, Thai and Vietnamese friends, so I know good, authentic restaurants. After visiting China I noticed the difference in quality, though. After döner kebab and maybe Greek food, East Asian food is one of the most favorite food here

bro they're all neighbors lol how are you surprised
do you think tourists cant tell the difference between goulash in czech and hungary?
because we can't

the biggest difference you'll notice is that thai food has peanuts in everything (to its detriment), laotian food is the spiciest thing you have ever eaten in your life, and korean food is like if someone decided paprika was the primary spice to add to japanese food
>>
>>216257620
Europeans, especially east Europeans can tell the difference. It's just my perspective
>>
>>216254790
reminder pho is just a vietnamese pot au feu

And the banh mi a VN French baguette. And their so-called VN coffee is something they learned from the French. Yet VN are taking excessive pride in these things...
>>
i had better experiences with bun bo and mi quang, pho was kinda bland to me

I've also tried picrel. Not bad for such thing.
