The entire western economy is a gigantic pyramid scheme based off of buying a house and then selling it off for 10x what you paid for it thirty years later. This requires an artificially low supply of new housing, achieved by the local government putting zoning and other restrictions in place to ensure you can't build any, and an artificially high supply of new residents, achieved by giving a visa to every jeet in India who says 'SAAR YES I WENT TO COMPUTAR SCHOOL SAAR PLS REDEEM VISA"
