In eu4 you can also upgrade to an empire if you have 1000 development, which you will be having if you can form scandinavia in the first place. so In eu4 there's no point in switching.

Yeah, 4x is a far as I go, mostly just civ. And I've barely played that, I get bored quickly. Grand strategy is advanced autism, too advanced for me.
