Why are Brazilians like that
>>
This board needs a week/month where Brazilians can't make threads and no one can make threads about brazil
>>
>>216387552
You like coffee nigga?
>>
Brazil has enough forests that they could keep deforesting and would still have millions of sqkm of forest
>>
>>216387575
I actually hate cafe, it tastes horrible, I have no idea why it's so popular
>>
>Brazil
>Angola
>Mozambique
Why does the lusosphere hate forests?
>>
>>216387575
No, I get my caffeine from diet coke
>>
>>216387552
Soy, beef etc
>>
>>216387613
>growing food (explosive African population growth)
>clearing forests for coal (energy explosion due to African population rising)
>clearing forests to mine
>>
>>216387568
We LOVE Brazilians here.
>>
>>216387464
The top 5 countries are just reforesting desert
>>
>>216388644
those new trees still absorb CO2.
>>
>>216388670
Yes, but it still doesn't compensate that those same countries still use fossil fuels like coal for electricity like it's the 19th century, while we are 90% hydro
>>
>>216388721
I feel like cutting down living trees is worse for the environment than burning fossil fuels, its easier to capture CO2 wi5h existing trees than for the environment to recover from massive desforestation, which will also kill wildlife.
>>
>>216388772
Just the Amazon Rainforest alone absorbs 20% of global vehicle emissions. So yes, trees absorb a shit ton of CO2. Planting more forests offsets way more than energy expenditure. Ideally, you'd want more trees and less burning, but planting trees is still good either way.
>>
Should deforestation continue at current rates, Brazil will lose it's forests by 2500. Foreign niggas underestimate how much forest there's over here, you can fit the entire Europe in the Amazon alone, and there's other forests around.
>>
>>216388772
I feel like only Brazilians have a sizable number of chuddy people being in complete denial of how much damage it causes to cut down the rainforests, or they would justify the practice for whatever reason. Other thirdies usually accept that it's wrong but feel powerless to stop it, too cowardly or something like that.

They're like Indians and Russians when it comes to that. The vain pride of thinking they're special for doing something everybody else considers wrong, feeling victimized by "Western neo-imperialism", or both. Almost like a defense mechanism from some kind of inferiority complex toward first world countries (sadly common among thirdies).
>>
>>216389857
I think Brazilian ranchers just care more about money than the rainforests, why the Brazilian government continues to allow them to cut down the rainforests I do not know.
>>
>>216389898
The area is just too big to be controled
>>
>>216389940
If the Brazilian government really cared they would devout more resources to controlling it
>>
>>216389857
american chuds are exactly that too though (see how trump talks about global warming etc)
it's just that old worlders (especially insular asians like you) don't know exactly how the "left x right" antagonism works in the western hemisphere
>>
>>216389983
You can’t even control your tiny ass border, imagine controlling an area 10 times larger than the uk
>>
>>216390010
>You can’t even control your tiny ass border
Because of lack of political will, not because of lack of feasibility. There are satellites and drones which can easily monitor for illegal deforestation.
>>
>>216389613
PLEASE cut down a Europe-sized piece of the Amazon rainforest. I NEED cheaper beef. Use all that deforested area to raise cows and grow cow feed.
>>
>>216390004
but desu i think our leftists are kinda as you described
>>
>>216390041
Good luck controlling 5 million square km.
You ain’t talking about a garden or a small park like you guys have
>>
>>216390041
But we are poor 3rd world country. Firsties like you could send money to finance the conservation. We don't ask much, just about 500 billion dollars, practically pocket exchange for you firsties. The forest is the size of Europe.
>>
>>216390165
If you like beef so much than find a way to grow cattle in your frozen wasteland of the country. And do it quick because when the jeets take over, it'll be banned.
>>
>>216389613
>>216389613
>Less forest = good!
I think it can be agreed between all humans that trees are objectively based, and thus, any argument against this or defending deforestation is completely soulless
>>
>>216390175
Brazil's police and military are more than large enough to arrest illegal loggers and patrol the rainforest.
>>
>>216390245
500 billion dollars and not a single tree will be cut. Pay up, firstie.
>>
>>216390245
Brown shitskins love defending whatever the fuck it is they do. They defend drugs and gangsters too because iz dey kulcha n shieet. Nothing makes them happier than razing their cunt to the ground. They revel in it, and they love it when other countries turn brown as well, so they can find some joy in their turd lives because they're bringing other countries down to their level.
>>
>>216387464
don't trust indonesia data, they counted palm oil plantation as 'forest'
>>
>>216390256
Lmao can you eve fathom how big 5 million km square is? Imagine you are in London and Someone starts deforesting something in fuckin backwater Ukraine. What would you do? By the time you get there the fuckers already created a farm
>>
Absurd attempt to turn an ecological disaster into petty nationalist grievances

The issue is capitalism. The destruction of the Amazon wouldnt be different had it been in european or asian hands
>>
>we were allowed to cut down our forests to make money but you can't because... you just can't okay?!
Westerners are hypocrites
>>
>>216390319
>They defend drugs and gangsters too
We kill them by the thousands, only for you eurofaggots cry over "muh human rights"
>>
>>216387464
>NOOOO HOW DARE YOU UTILIZE YOUR CUNTREES RESOURCES TO BOOST GDP AND EARN MONEY YOU ARE SUPPOSED TO STAY POOR SO WE CAN EXPLOIT YOU
>>
>>216390388
Europeans already destroyed prety much every single forest they had and want to talk abou Brazil…
All “nature” left in Europe is basically some small urban parks you can hike in 30 minutes
>>
>>216387568
/int/ is a hueboo board.
>>
>>216390388
High IQ Brazilians need to get into high value manufacturing.

How about building semiconductors? AI? Rockets, perhaps?
>>
>>216390497
A properly run country does all, otherwise you will be exposed to bullshit from other cuntrees, just like how the EU is basically a vassal of the US right now.

Did you know that ASML wanted to sell shit ton of EUV machines to China for billions of dollars, but the US said no to the deal and Netherlands basically bend the knee?

Did you know your country suck Jewish cock? Please send me more money.
>>
>>216387575
No
>>
>>216389983
with all the satellite technology available today, it would be possible to monitor every square meter of that forest and send cops to get those destroying it.
there's no point in sugarcoating the fact most brazilians are retards who don't care about nature.
furthermore, there are many powerful people behind this deforestation; they're not nobodies like me who live near the coast and only feel sorry about all of that
>>
>>216391671
There isn’t the area is just too big and too dense
They would have to build thousands of connect bases to be able to react in time (they would have to deforest some areas to do it too)
>>
>>216391732
The Brazilian army trains in rainforest warfare, they can rapidly deploy with helicopters to areas of illegal logging and arrest the loggers.
