>>216421835For me, it's mostly my fault. I've had friends before, I just never put in the effort required to maintain the friendship and never communicated or reached out outside of work. Usually whenever I no longer see an acquaintance on a frequent basis I just stop talking with them. I think about reaching out, but then days turn into weeks, weeks into months, and months into years. And after a while I just don't know what to say and am not sure how to maintain contact. I keep retreating back into self-isolation. A remnant of my days of NEETdom even though I'm not a NEET anymore.

Charismatic, interesting, funny people have always had friends without needing to put in any effort. This is not a lookism black-pill by the way. Charisma stems from self-acceptance and self-respect. Unless you're over 30 then it is a black-pill because the window for making friends officially closes once you hit 30.
