And the rest of the developed world..
A smoke/fire detector is a life saver.
One of the most common reasons people die in fires is unawareness.
You might be sleeping, drunk or otherwise unaware that your home is on fire. By the time you realize it could easily be too late.
Here in Sweden you cannot sign home insurance without the minimum amount of smoke detectors installed (the amount depends on the size of your home).

It's retarded not to have them. You can buy a 2 pack on Amazon or your nearest hardware store for 10 bucks or less...

Nigga, homes don't light up in flames in 3 nanoseconds when they are made of brick.
Your home burning here is a slum problem.
So, yeah, you got villero problems in your Mcmansion.
Only public buildings have smoke detectors and fire sprinklers
>>
>>216449168
>I don't need no radioactive critter in my home
Then buy one without it, you fucking moron.
A photoelectric smoke detector costs the fucking same and are more common than the others today.
Or heat detectors which are just as, if not more effective.

>>216449290
One of the major reasons for house fires today is battery failures. Phones, devices, electric vehicles etc. If you live in an apartment, it doesn't even need to be YOU who start the fire.
It can be a neighbor.
Or nature itself. America should be well aware of wildfires by now.
>>
>>216448826
It's mandatory in my country
>>
>>216449357
Here it's not mandatory but if you have a fire at home without a smoke/heat alarm you will be denied all insurance claims and protection. Because you were stupid enough to ignore the cheapest early warning sign that could have helped you put the fire out.

They help save lives (no matter what the thirdies think). You won't notice smoke while sleeping until it's too late. It's one of the most common causes of death in fires.
Also, it gives both you, everyone in the house and anyone nearby a warning that something is on fire.
It's not to "reduce fires". It's to improve response time, alertness and raising the chance of you or someone else putting the fire out before it spreads.

Simple scenario.
>you upstairs
>something causes a fire downstairs
>furniture, curtains or whatever catches fire
>you have no idea
>fire alarm detects it in seconds, the moment smoke starts rising
>no smoke detector, you have no idea a fire is happening until everything is on fire
Simple.
>"oooh but I have a brick house lol"
Is all your furniture etc also made of brick?
A home is full of flammable materials..
But I guess thirdies don't care as long as the basic structure of the building is still standing.
They look at pic and go, nice. My house is fine. Quality bricks.

Most house fires kill people when they are sleeping. If you are sleeping and fire starts you probably won't wake up because you can't really hear it plus the gasses drop you farther into sleep.

Guys cavemen used birds to detect fires. It's been passed down. "Canary in the mine tunnel"

So you are telling me
A 15000 year old technology
Which has been proven for 15000 years
Is a bad idea

This is why reinventing meaning for words and gas lighting history is bad for humanity and you.
We need a record of the past to prevent problems.
So words like neoliberal, smoke detectors, and now Timmy (it's fat slang for cute white boy I want to fuck) shouldn't be redefine by third worlders

But whatever burn to death in house fires and use words how you want

Cinder blocks and bricks are literally the cheapest material you can build houses from. Not to mention that you thirdies never do anything proper. No insulation, no proper wiring, nothing.
Our wooden houses stand for centuries.
Concrete, brick and stone buildings here are rare. Ugly, shitty for heating and only for the newly rich who thinks they can impress someone with their copy-paste buildings.
Real wooden villas are works of arts, costs fortunes to build and they last generations. Picrels for examples, all built in the 1800's. Still standing strong here in Sweden after 2+ centuries of summers, winters and use.

Are you acting dumb or just baiting?
The batteries ARE the fire hazard.
Phones, vapes, tablets, laptops.. Everything using a battery can catch fire and they do. It's not rare.
>>
>>216455169
All their wiring is done by bipoc refugee scientists bro I wouldn't trust that shit either
>>
>>216455169
Anon, every security measure you cave people think is "superior" we have done long ago.
The simple fact that you think a disjunctor will stop a short from burning your house down is proof on how fucking dumb your kind is. Yes, it will cut the current when needed. But that's AFTER it's too late. Because the fucking thing wont do anything UNTIL it's too late. A single spark is enough. Rat chews through your power line inside your house and shit starts sparking between the nearest metal object? Too late, it will cut the current but the spark already happened.
Cable getting too much current and overheated? Too late, it's already hot enough to start a fire before it's cut.
>>216455480
And you thirdies have 1/100th of their brain capacity so that must be fun. At least they were smart enough to leave their shitholes. You're here defending yours.

>Shit wiring
>Rats
>Wood houses
Your firstie status is close to being revoked...
>>
>>216455586
Those were all examples for your kind. I figured it would be easier to understand.
Except the wooden houses, thirdies have some kinda supernatural fear of wood. Probably because of your horrible wiring and building standards. I would be afraid as well if one of your kind wired my house. Fucking hell.
>>
>>216455636
Our wiring needs to be able to withstand brownouts, humidity and extreme heat so it tends to be decent, maybe that's why our houses don't burn down idk, burnings are usually gas leaks or fuel spills
>>
>>216455710
>tends to be decent
Sorry but any country that still has above ground electrical wires isn't decent. That includes the USA by the way so don't get too upset. Everything here is subsurface. Internet, electricity, water, phone lines, everything. We don't use gas unless it's propane for outdoor grills or in restaurants because it's a massive pain in the ass and a huge safety hazard (all it takes is one moron and BOOM) and fuel spills?
Like a car leaking gas or?
>>
>>216455203
>Lithium-ion battery fires involving e scooters and e-bikes doubled between 2020 and 2021. However, fires involving electric vehicles are extremely rare because electric cars are more heavily regulated than e-bikes and e-scooters and follow a different manufacturing process.
If you have an e scooter then you've got a bigger problem of being a homosexual than a fire hazard, you deserve to be burned alive at that point
Meanwhile:
>Lithium-ion batteries used in other devices are generally safe as long as they are stored properly
Learn to read sources before using them, dumbass retard, you proved my point

burying power lines sounds insanely expensive outside of cities, which is probably why you only see it in cities here. do you really bury it for the middle of nowhere? or just tell everyone to be off grid and good luck
>>
>>216457733
Yes. You have to go extremely far to find people using old power lines. I live 6km from a small village (less than 2500 people) and I still have underground electricity. I just have to use 4/5G internet (around 90-250Mbps) but I am happy.
