As promised I'm sharing my first impressions of EU5. 1. The interface is very confusing and quite honestly badly made. Sometimes you have to dig somewhere to just see where you can build buildings. 2. The music is nice, there are some bangers, but most of it is kinda boring.3. The AI indeed is retarded, but that's a win for me. 4. It's a very slow game. Much slower then EU4. 5. Trade nodes (markets) aren't static, and as soon as I made my own market, my profits increased by a factor of 3. You should try to get your own market as soon as possible. 6. The combat is better - it's not just numerical advantage of the same troops - there are different types of troops which add flavour. You have flanks and a front (basically 3 fronts, and if you win on one you start crushing your enemy), and also troop quality matters a lot. 7. There is a huge research tree which gets any one research fast, but most of the research isn't that dramatic. I like that idea. But your research tree is limited by the institutions embraced in each age - if you haven't embraced that institution, that branch of research is off-limits. 1/2

Another fucking infuriating problem I had was, when I had a war with ERE, Serbia, Wallachia, and something else - I killed basically all their armies, but I had to destroy like 10 forts, because Bulgaria starts with a ridiculous amount of forts and you can't pay for them. Also - disease is a big deal - at the start the Black Plagues almost halves your population, and you need population for everything. And then there are all sorts of outbreaks of measles, smallpox, whatever. But it kind of seems a bit like "the vax-scene" kind of a push.

This is how I expand RGO's - I have no idea what they do, but I think they produce goods, which can be sold on the market, and cover population needs, and are supposed to be quite good in the beginning. Supposedly later they fall off. The profit that is shown isn't true - you get only a fraction of that. And you need people to work it - the labourers who can do it are on the left, and the peasants are on the right. Actually if you have enough peasants, in time they get promoted to labourers and you get the building operational. So I try to keep spamming them to promote the peasants. For me in the worst case in 5 years 1k labourers are promoted, in the normal case it is like 1-2 years. But my values and priviledges of the estates might be helping me here, cuz I'm not doing what all the streamers suggested.
