>>216576423Ich habe unglaublichen weltschmerz
>>216576323That's the shitty version of:>Wherefore I praised the dead which are already dead more than the living which are yet alive. Yea, better is he than both they, who hath not yet been, who hath not seen the evil work that is done under the sun.
>>216576323Why don't nihilists just all kill themselves if they really believe in what they are saying? What is the point of that philosophy?
>>216579788God aren't you retarded.
>>216580112Nhilism always comes down to life isn't perfect therefore it would be better if it didn't exist. To me it seems like the perfect ideology for depressed midwits that think they are very smart."look at these stupid people thinking they can achieve happiness in life, they just aren't smart enough to understand how pointless it all is."Wow very deep, but thanks for your insightful comment.
>>2165803671. there is no god2. there is no perfect being to create an objectively correct system of morality3. all systems of morality are created by humans4. all systems of morality are created by human beings, and so are imperfect and subjective (4.5. since there is no being to create a perfect system of morality, there is no standard of morality to judge any one human’s system of morality against to evaluate whether it’s any more valid than another, so)5. any system of morality is as equally valid as any otherTHEREFOREthere is no reason not to make up my ownin my own i am good, and everything that benefits me is goodeverything that harms me is evileverything else is neutralyou neither harm nor benefit me, so your existence is neutralso your life doesn’t mattermine most certainly does
>>216576423A romanticist wouldn't worship death, you dumb faggot. Also, he stole that from the bible.
>>216580661Humans aren't evolved to be purely selfish though otherwise societies wouldn't function. In ideal everyone could pick and choose which system appeals to them, but I think most people agree with the rule that you shouldn't do to others what you don't want to be done to you.Personally I think there are universal morals as I said, but as you said they are to some point subjective. But If you want to live together with other people I don't think creating and following a completely contradictory morality would be feasible, so you have to accept the world we live in. Everything people do or make is imperfect, but I don't think that makes it worthless. There is no god telling us the meaning of life, but I don't think that means that you can't find one for yourself and even it were just a delusion it would still be better than nothing at all.
>>216580367I've always liked Norwegian 19th century literature and poetry. A lot of it very wistful and laments the ephemeral nature of life, but more than that, it celebrates life itself. My great grandfather was a writer, and he knew a lot of his contemporary writers and poets, and I have most of his books, and also inherited the books and poem collections he got from his friends, many of which are signed and have handwritten poems in them. His son, my grandfather, also dabbled in poetry, and I also have his books, with his poems written in the margins, and the letters he wrote to my grandmother when he was courting her.It was fascinating to discover what they wrote, and being able to identify so closely with them, even though one died long before I was born, and the other when I was young.Well, this is the dumbest fucking place to post about it, but it is what it is.
