Why do you have to pay a subscription service to something you already own?
>>
It's not a scam, it's just a marketing tactic. All property is owned by the jews who print the money and they are nice enough to rent it out to you for tax monies.
>>
property is not supposed to be an investment, its for living in
>>
>>216578635
Nobody's talking about investing. Why do you have to pay monthly to a plot of land you bought to live on?
>>
>>216578691
if set correctly it would only discourage hoarding properties
>>
It isn't a scam
It's your mistake for thinking that anything is yours to begin
>>
>>216578742
No it wouldn't.

>pay $1000 in property taxes
>receive $2000 in rent
>repeat for 100 properties
>earn $100k a month in free money
>>
>>216578801
the tax wouldnt be linear
>>
>>216578562
Well SOMEONE needs to pay for my neetbux and it’s not gonna be me
>>
>>216578562
Property tax is like the only tax I agree with as a homeowner, it pays for local schools, police, fire department, roads, sewers, parks, marinas (in my case) etc and keeps the riffraff out at high income levels.

What makes you think you ever owned it in the first place?
If you can't disobey or make up your own laws on a piece of land, you don't own it. You're merely renting it no matter what sophisticated wordplay you want to use.
The concept of "private property" is largely a myth.

Local infrastructure around it unless you live in the woods.
>>
Nothing's better than hobomaxxing. Live where you want, don't pay for shit. Or learning survival skills and live innawoods.

What it really establishes is that no one ever escapes from the practice of paying rent. Whether you rent or you """own""", even if your ownership is very comfortable and obviously the superior way to live, and entails an annual property tax lower than a given annual rent, you never stop paying rent.

This guy pretty much gets it.

All taxes are immoral and illogical
Their only purpose in modern democracies is to transfer wealth from the minority of the "haves" to the majority of "have nots". The only reason why this egalitarian arrangement ever came into existence in the modern world is because it makes the massess more placable to being drafted to fight foreign wars

>already pay for schools and hospitals and shit like that with your income tax and sales tax
>throw property tax on top of it as well
>hell, throw in inheritance tax, tax something your own family gives you
>>
>>216579271
I understand where you're coming from, I may have bought the house but I still have to pay homage to the local thane, as it were.
But I'm actually ok with that type of tax, state and federal income taxes are a different story.
>>216579287
Correct, I do not like income taxes.
>>
>>216578562
Get a yacht
>>
>>216578562
You don't own it, you still have to follow cucked laws inside the plot, therefore the State owns it and charges you for it
>>
Read on Georgism.
>>
Obviously better to tax land than labor or capital. Should be set at the state or even national level too so towns that try to block housing get punished for it

I just looked up to see if I could keep chickens on my property and I need to have a plot twice the size of the one I'm currently on to even own 1 chicken.
Making it virtually impossible to own them in my suburbs, and I'm on a larger plot than average here to begin with.
>>
>>216579578
Yup. You can't set up a shop, build another house/floor, or even park a vehicle too big without the State's permission either
