I have also celebrated hanuka with jewish friends, gone to Glastonbury and Stonehenge on the seasonal pagan Solstices. have celebrated Thanksgiving and Independance with some yanks, attended performances by Catholic and Protestant church choirs and have been to a few Eid celebrations. I view it as like celebrating someone elses birthday, it's special to them, so I join in, enjoy it and learn a little about other customs and beliefs. Religion can be a good way to bring people together, if you ignore the insular and devisive types.
