It's less than they need to replace attrition. It's like that in every public service too, not just the police.For instance even if the police submit a report and file criminal charges, half the time they get dropped by the prosecutor anyway also because of staffing.And another excuse is probably budget but my comms chief of admin makes like $150,000 a year and never comes into work so I think it's likely corruption that is the problem and not budget.

Apparently the most "remote" location in Germany is 6 km / 4 miles away from the nearest civilization and it's some military installment.
