Why, was it a crazy experience?

Not that crazy. But I essentially ended up being responsible for a ballroom full of asians doing quantitative analysis and it was a lot of work just to make money for someone else. Im just glad I work for myself now. Not to say it was all bad, I learned a lot.

Kek. What's the technique for managing Asian quants?
>>

Nothing out of the ordinary really. When I first started managing that team the president wanted us to whip them into results like US hedge funds but that kind of mentality just breaks people and doesn't produce good results long term, people burn out too quick. We tried to be relatively chill but still result oriented. It's about balance I guess. A lot of people also don't realize theyre burning out and you have to be on the lookout for that too before it happens. Quants have a tendency to have a narrow focus so there's no way to keep an effective team without some fundamental analysis too to balance that out.
