Have you ever driven across your country or region, /int/? How long did it take?
3 hours from the south to the north
>>216618492if i drove for 11h straight i'd cross like 4 countries lol
>>216618492Wtf that's not Vancouver
>>216618492Yes, 4 days of travel from Arizona to Michigan and 4 days to go back home. 8 hours of driving per day.
>>216618492>915 kmI think the longest distance between two points imc is shorter than that
>>216618492norway from north to south. 33h 2400km.also done norway west to east, coast to swedish border, 1h.
>>21661849225 hours from south to north. About the same distance as a trip from Atlanta to Toronto
>>216618613Do you never get bored during these trips? What about the temptation to stop and see shit? To me the main attraction of travelling is visiting places, but road trippers seem to just enjoy driving all day. Also did you use highways? Because that's the ultimate boring drive. At least in Europe. The scenic routes here are all on 1960s-era smaller roads.
>>216618492ive done similar drives to this, through californiasuper boring and long. dont recommend
>>216618492I've driven all of those routes. If you take the highlighted one you should go right past the only public Oregon sunstone mine in the world. Its worth going to.
>>216618733I wouldn't even recommend these routes as such, since they miss a lot of stuff. It would be silly to go all the way to southeastern Oregon and not stop by the Steens Mountains/Kiger Gorge/Lake Alvord area, for example.
>>216618705>Do you never get bored during these trips?I did get bored yes, seeing endless corn and soy bean fields in very flat land tends to get boring.>What about the temptation to stop and see shit? For couple of towns I did go to museums and get some souvenirs. I did have time limit because I was getting RV trailer in Michigan and fuel costs were no joke. >Also did you use highways? From AZ to MI, I did use interstates. On the return trip, I did use the small roads all back till AZ since I was getting used to towing RV trailer.
>>216618705The famous arch of St. Louis, the entrance to the park is dump since its old industrial area from 1920s overgrown with weeds and trash.
>>216618968Nasty storm was brewing when I taken this photo, next day it hit bad and knocked down couple of trees.
>>216619053
>>216619078You must have had some solid tyres not to fall into the sky like that
>>216619727This rainbow blessed me earlier in the trip, so don't worry. (New Mexico)
>>216618492Stuttgart to Berlin, 8 hours or sothat's like 2/3 the way through Germany from southwest to northeast
>>216618613Why? makes more sense to take the train or even fly for such distances, no?
>>216620108This is the reason why, got the RV in Michigan. Cheaper to drive over there than getting it shipped by truck. >makes more sense to take the train or even fly for such distances, no?You know American road trips are thing right?
>>216620226For record that's around 2000 miles to and 2000 miles back. So 4000 miles in 8 days!
>>216620226>This is the reason why, got the RV in Michiganyeah that makes sense. Love the idea of having an RV>You know American road trips are thing right?what do you mean?
>>216618492Not really. Longest trips that I did within Germany were 5 hours. Going full way across would be like 12.
>>216620610>what do you mean?People travel across the country and see the sights. >https://www.route66roadtrip.com/This one of the better known road trips.
>>216618492yes i've driven from the black sea coast to the western part of the country near the macedonian border where my family is from. it's about 550km
