Eh, I'd argue pre-timeskip sabaody arc onwards felt exactly like post-timeskip, just with the older art style.

What is extremely jarring though, is how everyone in the main crew had a completely changed personality in the fishman island arc (Usopp no longer being a coward, Luffy being a bit more serious and less retarded, Sanji being a pervert etc) and then reverted back to their normal selves immediately afterwards.
