Completed a 35 day rehab/detox program in a private psychiatric clinic only to come out with last year's F19 diagnosis (it stated there was an "improvement" this year instead of being "unchanged" last year) and a nonsense F38 diagnosis (Other mood [affective] disorders)

That female psychiatrist who specialises in developmental disorders keeps on insisting that I need to be completely sober for 1 whole year from recreational drugs and most likely alcohol for her to be able to start with my autism diagnosis

Do you trust mental health care professionals in your country?

150mg effexor in the morning (was taking 75mg in the morning and 75mg in the afternoon in the clinic)
300mg gabapentin in the morning, afternoon and night
50mg naltrexone in the afternoon
50mg quetiapine at night
37mg lurasidone at night

That shrink in the clinic didn't want to give me wellbutrin in combination with an SNRI like I suggested him for bigger chances of overcoming depression but he's just fine with giving me two different antipsychotics at night for sleep kek

Quepin and Latuda are both given out for schizophrenia and things like psychosis and bipolar disorder but they're also given off label for insomnia

>>216622555
No I'm taking them on my own but I don't know how much of a difference they're going to make to me long term with only one SNRI antidepressant instead of wellbutrin in combination with effexor for example

>that I need to be completely sober for 1 whole year from recreational drugs and most likely alcohol
ok and? Autists are good at following orders, you being unable to do this for even a single week proves you're not autistic
>>
>>216621318
You've been told by many doctors to lay off the drugs at this point
Have you considered trying that?
>>
>>216623390
1 year sounds just too much to me

>>216623405
Yes I'm currently trying that and I'm "sober" from alcohol for example for like 40 days and from drugs for around 60 days
>>
greeks anon, since you seen kind of we'll informed about medications. Is zolpidem safe tò use in the long run?
>>
>>216624886
I wouldn't think of taking benzodiazepines or non-benzodiazepines in this case on the long run because they're too addictive and you will experience withdrawal symptoms when you want to stop unless you taper very slowly plus you will experience the usual tolerance increase that's a thing with every drug that exists
Do you want it for sleep or anxiety related issues?
>>
>>216624969
There's a reason why benzodiazepines are recommended for up to 4 weeks, I don't know how shrinks get around this and keep prescribing them for much longer like many years to their patients
