I made borscht, a Ukrainian soup, and heard it's great when you're sick.

Rarely. We mostly eat Turkish food. Never tried anything other than Turkish cuisine besides the popular things like Pizza.

What's the difference?
I don't want this thread to be political.
The soup actually has beef in it. I used short ribs and beef oxtail.

We don't eat bats here.
It's a seasonal sickness because of the weather change.

Ukrainian style is usually without beef.
Also Ukrainian food nationalists like to claim it as some exclusive Ukrainian dish (they even applied to unesco for it), meanwhile borscht is eaten all over eastern europe and predates the idea of ukraine. Basically classic little country syndrome. So you specifying it as Ukrainian is kind of playing into to that. Not that it really matters.

I honestly don't care. I just thought it was Ukrainian because every youtube video about it says its a Ukrainian dish.
