Deep fried pizza is actually really good, it’s kind of like a calzone.

Eating deep-fried pizza in Naples, at a small joint right in front of Castel' Nuovo is what convinced me that authentic Italian food ain't really worth it. I've had better "Neapolitan"-style pizza in Sarajevo, Santiago de Compostela and even in Savannah than I have in Naples, so I think it's safe to say that you really do not need to go all the way to effin Italy of all places just to get some nice 'za.

Italy is a nice country with some nice towns and really old, majestic-looking palazzzi overlooking magnificent piazze, but I'm happy ordering minestrone and risotto at a small restaurant back home than taking a 15h-long plane trip just to order that same stuff at a restaurant in Italy.
