Egypt's new capital has a name
>>
Akhenaten is rolling in his grave
>>
They should have named it Cairo2
>>
>>216649401
its just a realestate scam, ironic since thats basically their entire culture and identity
>>
Egyptians and moroccans are the most cucked people on earth probably. Has their ever been more buckbroken cucked conquered slaves in the history of humanity ? Seriously i loathe my grandparents and great grandparents for not running away south or east when they could, they never liked this system of buckbroken serfs and everyone in the family is a rabid anti-monarchist
If i could go back in time i would pull everyone in my bloodline by the ear and throw them into gaza or something for this retarded mistake it's not like they were exclusively sedentary
>>
>>216649446
Cairo 2.0 would be very cyberpunk

They should called it Akhetaten, the horizon of Aten

The Jew is actually right. I'm not even kidding it's a scam driven by speculation and was only built to get the government away from the masses in Cairo to end all possibility of a revolution or protests toppling the government because protestors have to cross half the desert on easily monitored highways through multiple military checkpoints to get to he ruling class.
>>
>>216649401
unironically what's the fucking point? Like I know the dictator is doing it because he wants to be further away from potential coup attempts, but it's still right next to Cairo and everyone in the country either lives on the Nile or the Suez Canal
>>
Why is Egypt so rough looking? every image I've ever seen from this country looks like a distopian reality.
>>
can you imagine all these impoverished wagies in Cairo paying hefty taxes so their politicians could live and work in modern air-conditioned villas and offices?
>>

The red areas are where poorfags (95% of the population) live and they're the ones that actually do revolutions and stuff. The blue areas are where mid richfags live (4%) and they're mostly complacent about the political situation as long as it doesn't harm their businesses' profits, and revolutions are bad for business. The green is where our autocrats and nobles live and they actively benefit from the current political system.

All of these spheres are intentionally separated from each other because it's very hard to get from the red to the blue much less the green without a car unless you're going through limited and government controlled train/metro lines that could be shut down at any time. Most people here do not have cars, and the cities are built in the literal desert. We don't have grocery stores every 2 miles like in the US, because again very few cars so it's an impractical business model. The blue cities are very car centric and the green are extremely car centric, all on purpose. Hope this helped.

>>216652449
We're brown and live in a 98% desert country what did you expect
>>
>>216652449
They all live squished together inside the very narrow livable strip of land around the Nille river
I don't get why their population blew up in population this much though, the country is a ticking time bomb because of it
>>
>>216652763
>But they have a big population nonetheless, why?
it's a good place to grow food, except they don't grow food, they grow cotton because bongs
>When did all the refinement of Ancient Egypt and culture died?
they've been some's vassal for at least 2,000 years, probably longer
>>
>>216652592
ur brown lol
>>
>>216652920
idk why it's still getting bigger. at one point they used to grow a fuck ton of food, so more food means more pop, but in like the mid 1800s the bongs got them to make cotton so they wouldn't have to buy from the confederates, but the pop's still going up

The ancient Egyptians weren't any special they were just extremely lucky to have been blessed with a top tier spawn location. Most civilizations' primary concerns were for 1) food and 2) war.

1) to quote Marc Van de Mieroop's work: "the Nile was the farmer’s lifeline. That river’s cycle provided everything needed, however, and the Egyptians relied on natural irrigation. The water rose in the summer, washing away salts that impede plant growth and leaving a very fertile layer of silt on the fields bordering it. The water receded in time for the crops – all grown in winter – to be sown, and it left the fields so moist that they did not require additional water while the plants grew. Farmers harvested crops in the late spring and the fields were ready for a new inundation by July. The cycles of the river and the crops were in perfect harmony" (ch. 1.6). That's to say nothing of the effect of the Nile on interregional trade or how rich Egypt's lands were with gold and other precious materials.

and 2): Egypt was very difficult to access in ancient times when professional armies didn't exist and supply lines were yet to be invented and all armies had to rely on foraged or pillaged goods to sustain them. The Western desert to Libya is HUGE and has very very few oases. The Eastern desert isn't as big but there's 0 greenery other than the coast of the Sinai. Everything else is desert and there's only a narrow corridor where Rafah is today that you can realistically cross into Egypt from, and ancient kings knew well to guard this spot. We even conquered Canaan for several centuries to keep a buffer zone to this area. To the north we had the Mediterranean sea (Phoenicians hadn't mastered navigation until 1500BC~) and to the south the Aswan cataract is very narrow and unstable, anything else is desert.

They were just exceptionally lucky compared to everyone else but they weren't particularly special compared to huwite crackers.
>>
>>216652449
Whole Egypt runs by military dictatorship for decades and they only spend money on military tech.
They don't really have political or civil structure just military generals.
They're also Arab and Sunnis so yeah double abomination.
>>
Also: >inb4 everyone conquered you!!
Yes. But Egypt was a unified civilization from 3000BC and back then most civilizations hadn't advanced past tribes yeeting spears at each other for sheep herding rights. There were no real threats to the Egyptians and they were basically the masters of the little bubble nature had blessed them with. Sometimes they exerted influence outside their bubble into Nubia and Syria but for the most part they were content to stay where they were and worship the gods and build megastructures and shit because they literally had no problems in life. When they conquered Canaan they didn't even bother to spread their culture or language they just extracted tribute from some semi-autonomous kings they set up, put some border posts to protect the Sinai, and fuck off to go chill and write papyrus scripts or whatever. The only people we really influenced were the Nubians because their language was very similar to that of the ancient Egypsies unlike the Canaanites who spoke a Semitic language (egypsies couldn't be bothered to try converting their language), and even that was mostly because their aristocracy admired Egypsy culture and not because they were forced to accept it.

>>

Have you seen the new $1 billion museum besides the pyramids?
>>
I don't understand what the name is
>>
>>216653422
The elites have tried to spawn a Kemet-ian (kemet was the ancient name of the land not misr or Egypt) cultural movement recently as a counterbalance to the Ar*b pisslamist coded national sentiment we've been stuck with for the past century but it hasn't really spread anywhere other than faggy upper middle class zoomers/millennials and Christians. If anything the movement's probably only served to further alienate the pisslamist ikhwanji crowd (good they deserve hellfire missiles not just a culture war) because they're scared that if we lose the "Arab" cultural identity their constant agitation about "muh Palestine" and "muh ummah" could stop working. We'll see if it works in the future since it's a very recent movement but its heavy involvement with christians is probably going to hamstring its public appeal since the only phonetic alphabet we have of the Egyptian language is Coptic which is unacceptable for Muslims for obvious reasons. They'll keep pushing it though with stuff like the GEM museum's music being largely in various stages of the ancient Egypsy language. I really hope it works so i don't have to hear about what happens in Syria as if it's any of my business.

And no they weren't really the most intriguing culture they're just the most well-preserved ancient culture because deserts are extremely dry and stuff doesn't rot or wither in the desert.

>>216653329
Ancient egypt and babylonia were self sufficient because they were agrarian slave societies
>>
>>216654074
Nah bro ever since Sadat's assassination the government (the army really) has tried to distance itself from Pisslamists and now we're very openly a secular military dictatorship that's partly allied to the West. Maybe not as pozzed as Morocco where you guys have thousands of Jews living unmolested on your land (we only have 6; all of whom are elderly women), but we're pretty pozzed and relatively open about the fact. Not even Mohammed Morsi tried to claim descent from Momo because we don't really care. Muslims here just want someone to go beat up the Jews and for him to preferably be Muslim. The christcucks just want the church bombings to stop and the military has mostly stopped the bombings and wiped out the ISIS cells in the desert and closed down the Western desert for Libyan militias, so they're thoroughly loyal to Al-Sissy.

How do you view islamism? They have been in egyptian society for more than a thousand years but are they somehow still seen as foreigners?

>How do you view islamism?
It's fucking awful and i despise it and Muhammad (Zutts busting within him) with every fiber of my being.
>are they somehow still seen as foreigners?
No. Everyone other than some Copt radicals sees Muslims as just normal Egyptians that converted to Islam. Very very few people here are autistic enough to dig up studies about haplogroups and autosomal admixture about who's closer to ancient egypsies other than some 2nd gen Copts in the US who like to think they and only them wuz kangz.
>Do you guys have a special ethnicity who claims to be living in Egypt for longer than everyone else?
Copts do and i think they should probably stfu and stop being so smug and trying to get actually equal rights in this country because most muzzies do NOT like it at all. Imo they should just settle for the fact they're now mostly safe under non-pisslamist rule and stop agitating the Muslims who already resent their overrepresentation in medicine business administration law etc. If Al-Sissy ever gets overthrown they'll fondly reminisce about the days of 2013 when churches used to get bombed or shot up every month from what'll happen to them if they don't stfu and stop aggravating the muzzies.

Not really because Copts don't have much real power and are one dictat- i mean government change away from being massacred. They don't do much subversion either they just exist and open up pharmacies and shit they're mostly harmless except for when they make angry posts from the safety of their home in Wisconsin on Facebook about how Israel is based and "Am Yisrael chai saaar", and even then most of those posts is false flags by muzzie agitators. A very funny way the zvttbvlls cuck the christcucks is that they kidnap their young girls, force them to convert to Islam under threat of rape or death, and then quickly marry them off to some pisslamist and the crosscucks can do literally nothing about it except howl because apostasy is punishable by death in Islam. Not very Jewish, a Jew would start screaming that it's literally annudah shoah and have the muzzie family and their extended bloodline arrested and then killed in a desert prison.

How the fuck did you arrive to this conclusion? I'm a copt myself and I'm expressing what we should do if we don't want bombings like the 2011-13 days again if the military regime falls, and that's not through goading the Muslims with Kemet cope and saying that they're Arabian rapebabies who deserve to get bombed by Israel. The previous season of bombings was bad enough and we didn't support Mubarak nearly as hard as we support Sisi and we still got fucked for it. Copts are getting high off the shit sisi feeds them as if he cares about us, but when he's gone the only ones we'll have left are our Muslim neighbors, even if they're all terrorist irredeemable trash with negative IQs.

Do you think average standards of living will ever rise? Not saying it'll ever become firstie but maybe middle income? Does the government ever try to fix the mass slums?
I wonder if, even if still quite poor, if average standards of living rise a bit each decade?
>>
>>216659736
He isn't me but yes they'll rise eventually in objective terms if not in relative terms to other countries. Firstie status is very doubtful imo but middle income is maybe achievable but i can't see the future and no one in the 40s could've predicted that Korea would become a firstie nation or that Lebanon would fall off as hard as it did.

>Does the government ever try to fix the mass slums
Rarely and when they do it's mostly half-hearted because they don't really care and they can't afford the time and money required to fix the geographical fact that there's too little (green) space for our growing population without expanding into the desert. And expanding into the desert is obviously hard and expensive so it won't be a profitable venture for lower class housing any time soon + again they don't really care.

>if average standards of living rise a bit each decade?
They do actually but we're about 20 years behind compared to 1st world nations in most areas so in 20 years or so some areas of the country should have roughly equivalent standards of living to 2nd world countries because the West seems to have stalled. It's slow but we're getting there. That is if we don't decide to blow ourselves up like retards (literally and figuratively) and scare foreign investors away
