Name 3 things you hate about your countrymen, I'll start:
1# can't drive for shit
2# littering, I wish it was legal to assault people who litter
3# uncultured uneducated retarded swines, they laugh at you if they find out you read books, they think you're trying to act like you're smarter than you are or others.

What do you suggest? I'm thinking you think of something like quiet quitting or constantly looking at the door for other job opportunities while you're employed instead of working hard then asking the boss for a raise and a promotion.

I think the French and the English, though superficially different, are quite similar in that we all want to project a certain ideal. English people, whatever their social class, want it to be generally understood that they've got money (or at least that they are not poor, if they really are poor). It's considered very gauche to try and present explicitly present yourself as sexy or sophisticated, these are things that will get you laughed at. In my experience, French people, and young men in particular, are exactly the opposite. It is perfectly socially acceptable to loudly declaim how intelligent you are, or how sophisticated your tastes are, or how attractive women find you, provided you don't do it in a way that makes it look as if you are boasting in any way about money. The result is that the French think the English are soulless materialists and the English think the French are pretentious lotharios.

But maybe I am biased because of the bits of France I've been, and the types of French I've interacted with. None of the above is really true of older, more established, more rural Gaullist types.

I could have proofread this, but I decided that doing so was un-English.

Needlessly arrogant
Can't take banter without getting defensive (insulting someone is literally a crime here)
>>
>>216654696
>they laugh at you if they find out you read books
kek same here
>>
>>216658443
>insulting someone is literally a crime here
Same here, but the laws governing this are so vague as to what qualifies as 'hate' that, in practice, they are only used to protect the regime and it's affiliates. Is it the same in Germany, or are people really cautioned for bantering their friends on a night out?
>>
>>216654696
- fat and don't care
- rude and don't realize it
- can afford to be stupid
