At that point he should just go to a casino.
You nonetheless should try talking him out of it. He can waste his money on other shit. Like travelling or something. That makes much more sense than spending money at auctions like that.
It might be worth it if those are gems that worth a lot, but honestly I doubt that if it's an online auction.

Yeah, the problem though is that CoD pretty much kills the games every single year when the new one drops. So even if I can grab it for 60 euros, that'll mean that instead of being able to enjoy multi for a year I'll only enjoy it for less than 6 months.
SAD!

I stopped and played some Byzantium instead.
I dropped the game because Bohemia had half the HRE as fiefs which was annoying, they need to fix that to make the HRE playable.
>>
>>216682273
Also I dropped the Byzantium game today, basically with a disaster you get independetist at random that when you reconquer them you get antagonism, so I ended up in a situation where I got tons of antagonism on top the already high one I got trying to conquer Anatolia, so I got annoyed after surviving the disaster for like 9 years already because I don't want to deal with another coalition war besides the one I already white peaced plus won versus several independetists plus white peaced a Napolitan invasion but it doesn't matter because my antagonism won't drop down so Mamluks will just join a coalition war in a few years after this one.

>I stopped and played some Byzantium instead.

Sad to read that, I'm still playing because I enjoy learning the mechanics and maxxing them, but yeah the game is half baked, I think that once the novelty wears off I'll stop playing it until there's a big patch

Also do you know how when separatists war starts you can either do a normal peace deal or go to the war screen and click "annex revolter" or something like that? With the Byzantium disaster instead of annexing the revolter you get the option to give them independence in that one, and you have to be winning the war to give them independence that way, I think that was supposed to be annexing them back but they fucked it, because it absolutely makes no sense.

What I don't understand is how they can release two patches relating to technical problems and not solve the HRE issue when it would be much simpler.
The current problem is that when an HRE country has no cores on land, the emperor can ask them to return the territory to a country with cores on it, and when there are not cores the territory goes back to the emperor.
Considering they have a system to create custom vassals, the fallback could instead of giving the territory to the emperor instead creating a custom tag on place that is independent and a member of the HRE, this would solve the main issue and then they can explore if there's a way to have more cores in the HRE so there are more historical tags in the HRE instead of half the HRE being custom random tags, but at least the creation of random tags solve half of the HRE being Bohemian by the 1500s.

Also Hussitism needs fixing, I never saw a Hussite civil war in Bohemia, I saw them having some civil wars against nobles but I think they were just generic rebellions, Hussitism should cripple Bohemia and allow Austria to rise, instead what happens is that Bohemia has half the HRE by then so if they go Catholic of Hussite it doesn't matter they are the top dog and Austria can't fight.
Also, Hussites only get one crussade, historically there were five anti-Hussite crusades.
If they didn't expand with vassals and Hussites ravaged the country Austria or alternatively Bavaria could become the strongest HRE state for some years and allow them to get the electorate.
And if after Hussitism could become an elective monarchy if no side wins decisively like it happened irl, which would allow for Bavaria or Austria or maybe another HRE state to get a personal union over them.
Also, the start of the Thirty Years war was when the Bohemian nobles chose a protestant king and retired the crown to the Von Habsburg king, so the Holy Roman Emperor and Archduke of Austria invaded Bohemia to take the crown back.
With the current system of leagues, it could be simulated that if Bohemia becomes protestant and is an elective monarchy it could choose a protestant king and kick the current Catholic king, the Catholic king would get a claim throne CB, and if Bohemia joined the protestant league in time then the Thirty Years war would start.

Paradox has the money.
I think the state of release is good for the kind of game that EU V is, I'm just surprised some design issues haven't been solved yet while some technical issues have.
Also, the current system of control makes it so both you and your estates get money out of your control, and money produced in provinces without control evaporates into thin air, I really hate this system, low control areas should instead give money to the estates.

Depends on the dress code, I suppose. If you're allowed to wear chinos and don't have to wear a tie, I'd say getting free stuff from the bathrooms and supply cupboards is definitely worth it (I used to take pens and stamps).
