how often do u eat seafood in ur country?
I live over 1000 miles inland so it's expensive but I try to eat as much as possible.
>>216804230In the coastal cities like Alexandria and Port Said, every day. In Cairo and Giza, occasionally
Mostly canned tuna and frozen fish sticks.
>>216804230Twice a week excluding tinned fish
>>216804230>how often do u eat seafood in ur country?maybe 3 days a weekgot kinda bored with landslop
>>216804230I eat salmon maybe 2-3 days a week.
>>216804230Fish tastes horribleNot even coca cola can take the stench out of it
I'm about to cook a filet of Norweigan salmon.
>>216804230Ominous
Once a week,Tuesday or Friday because that's when they bring fresh fish to the market.
>>216804230Not very frequently compared to land animals, but we do buy and cook seafood. We mainly eat fish, squid, shrimp, and mussels when we do eat seafood.
>>216804849Try cooking it in the oven covered with salt
>>216805001I salt raw mackerel and then store it in olive oil
>>216804230Almost every day, though not necessarily for dinner.>>216804767I'd strongly advise against that.
>>216805282It's the only type of salmon sold at my local store.
>>216805396Don't eat it, it's a trash fish even if wild caught.
I just enjoyed some sardines
>>216804230just had miso soup with wakame seaweedthats seafood right?its food and its from the sea
>>216805469Why is it trash?
>>216804230fried squid is the most common inland Slovene's seafood dish when not on holiday in Croatia, usually when visiting a casual dining restaurant and eaten together with french fries and a beer. Poisonous scorpionfish is also a favorite in these parts for whatever reason, though that is usually prepared at home in an oven with baked potatoes.
>>216804730Holy manchild
>>216805569Even wild salmon is full of disease and the fat accumulates all kinds of garbage. It also doesn't keep very well, again because of the fat.
Do you think there's any truth to the theory that coastal peoples who eat a lot of seafood are more intelligent than mid-continentals? I remember reading about this years ago.
>>216804230Maybe once or twice in a year, it's very expensive.
>>216805645Shut the fuck up lying prick chinaman
>>216805652I think it would make it slightly easier to avoid malnutrition, but that hasn't really been a relevant issue in the Western world for the last two centuries or so.
>>216805693Only foreigners like salmon, total meme fish.
>>216805652omega-3 increases your intelligence in Persona 3
>>216804230I have fish fingers a bit, fish seems to be expensive here these days so I don't bother. I haven't had fish and chips for a while either.
Unsure. We don‘t eat a lot of meat but we still eat it enough I‘d say. Our family is less oriented around fish and likes meat more so we tend to eat that more. 3:1 I‘d say for meat. We eat fish like once every third week or once a month.
>>216805942salmon & tuna are the only non-fish-tasting fish, which is why people like them the most
We ate trout, tilapia, and cod quite a bit growing up. Most of the good fish shoppes have been shuttered thanks to the economy in the past two decades. Diseased and irradiated shrimp prawns are the only seafood I eat now with ""Chinese"" food.
I wish you could buy herring and mackerel here not in a can but even when I was in Maine they didn't have any little oily fish anywhere except a sushi placeI did get to try gizzard shad raw and that was pretty excellent
>>216806339Most fish tastes good if you eat it fresh and raw.The problem is most fresh water fish can't be eaten raw because their parasites will infect humans too. Cooked fish is usually disgusting.
>>216806947you can also fry it in beer batter and pour vinegar over it to make it taste good, me matey
>>216804230I live right on the west coast, my windows literally get sprayed by salt whenever it's windy. I eat seafood almost everyday. The restaurants here in town are based around it, it's fairly affordable and I do love the taste.
>>216805652its iodine deficiencyits hard to find iodine if you live far away from the coastbut countries have solved that in one way or anotherin my country they put iodine in milk and i know in some third worlds they put it in salt
>>216804230I always have +8 cans of sardines readily available in my closet
>>216806987I love raw oysters so muchI went to a place with $1.50 each for happy hour and ate 18 oysters
Every day on which I drink because I buy squid slices as snack lol
>>216804230usually on holiday or when I catch fish from the sea
>>216807156Hell yeah. The local place I usually visit has "the plate" on Friday evenings. It's 20 oysters for 179 kronor or around $19. And you get freshly baked bread with it. I don't always buy it but sometimes I get the urge and just stuff myself.
>>216807161How are you able to eat squid every day? I feel like I'm being lied to somewhere.
>>216807700Read it again anon, everyday that he drinks.
>>216804230>seafood
maybe once or twice a year? a bit more if canned deenz count
>>216807450damn that's a great priceI would probably be eating them every weekend if I could get that
I eat herring from the farmer's market to times a week
>>216804849>Once a week,Tuesday or Friday because that's when they bring fresh fish to the market.sovl
>>216804230It's not really available in my landlocked cunt. Canned Sardines have worms as of recently (skimpflation), which is unappetizing.
>>216804230Maybe like 1-3 times a week. Always have some frozen salmon, talapia and cod in the freezer
yeah im on a seafood diet, I see food and diet
I only eat seafood boils on planes
I like to catch crawdads and widemouth bass and mix them together in a stew.
>>216806339Salmon is literally the most fish tasting fish
>>216804230Like 3 times a week.
>>216812672no, you merely posted that reply because it's in your genes to be contrarian, ship yourself to Lincolnshire, split a monk's head open, and finally rear pigs around Leeds
>>216804230I eat it fairly often. It’s my most likely choice when I eat out (second most likely is duck; I eat almost no mammals) and one of my sons loves fish (the other one is vegetarian), so I prepare it at home every week or so.>>216804469I don’t know if you care, but frozen fish filets are almost exactly as easy to prepare as frozen fish sticks, and typically of better quality. Drizzle filet with oil, salt, pepper, bake in oven for ~20 minutes. That’s all there is to it. I keep a small stock of sea bass filets in my freezer at all times. But if you eat fish sticks not because they’re easy but because you really like them, carry on.
people don't really eat fish here, at least not outside the amazon and other very select placesI don't mind fish but I'm not paying premium for it, since the cheapest tilapia fillets cost about the same as an average cut of beef
>>216804230Once every two weeks, and the fish isn't the best. Red fish is incredibly expensive, and various types of squid, lobster, and mussels are usually simply out of stock. The only thing they always have is shrimp, but on the other hand, you can buy three times as much good pork.
>>216804767>>216805569If I'm not mistaken, you (somewhat) regularly post about how much you enjoy fish, correct? Just wanted to say I like your appreciation of fish. That dish you post with the fish and small potatoes looks nice.
>>216804230Grilled a tuna steak just 30 minutes ago. Ate it with some kiwi. P good.
>>216804230EverydayOn busy days, I just have sashimi, instant miso soup and rice.
Once a year maybe. Ironically I live in 'fishing town'
>>216805942Holy shit, what's it like having no taste?I could eat salmon every day for the rest of my life and I would never get tired of it. It's truly god tier.
>>216804230not often, but when I do, it's just a salted head with some steamed broccoli and a coarse chunk of cold butter.
