That's why I gave you the example from my school years, as I grew up around a lot of brown people and my parents didn't get out of their Balkan community, so it created a certain sense of alienation and occationally some easternern calling me sarı and starting a fight randomly. I know a Danish guy who grew up in a ghetto area in Copenhagen, and he was one of the few Danes in his school and he went through the same experience for not fitting in with Arabs and Turks who were in majority. It's the parents' responsibility to make sure there is a match between their culture/race and where they live. I definitely won't be moving to an area in Norway where whites are not in majority. And I know I won't be a Norwegian (maybe it'll feel that way after 30 years or so) so it's not about being cringe like those kemalist types you are describing, it's not about me, but about the children.
