We do and here is a great example of just that. We should be honored that we get to pay our employer to begin with

Oh no, he's going to put mean words inside the prompt

LLMs are basically dead, right? I mean the line of inquiry can go only so far. "AI" has always been resistant to exponential growth and it's the reason why development of "AI" has staggered from early computing to modern computing.
a lot of people, notably, people who want to pump stocks, are floating the idea of "AGI", including Sam Altman (probably a con artist, who found a very sound bridge to sell). afaik nobody knows how to get there, there is no horizon. many datacenters are being spun up, yet no marked improvement has been shown. you'll see evangelists talk about invisible metrics like how well it can recite facts about the intricacies of gay sex; that hasn't mapped well to the actual user experience.

Someone from a rich family will accept that job, likely someone who wants to immigrate to the USA.

Translation from normalspeak: jeets cannot into asymptotic time complexity and brute force everything.

"AI" is a marketing term, nothing more. LLMs are relatively new, but they will never stop hallucinating - it’s just how probabilistic models work. Stuff like image and sounds generation, text classification, voice recognition, and all these fancy "AI" tricks that are being presented as new advancements were easily doable by any hobby programmer 5-10 years before chatGPT was a thing.

No, LLMs are not a pathway to real AI. Just like other machine learning models, they have their niche uses, but they are not a replacement for office workers and will never be.

Yes.

There are companies that recruit russians, but they need to pay their own salary plus extra (overhead costs) to the employer.
