American Psycho was basically the last 'New' Hollywood film before independent film makers took over and it was filled with post-modernist film geeks that released nothing but reboots and remakes. The downfall of Hollywood was entirely due to the people who loved it most because before they would find some niche genius director and give him a spotlight even if it wasn't something consumers were demanding.
